Wow!!

Just put a new black on my cue and LOVE the tip. I used to use Moori med and went with medium black and it plays great, moves the ball with min effort and holds chalk well
Thanks Troy

are they hard enough to jump with?

Well for jumping I would stick with the phenolic tips on the market. All thou the Kamui Hard is very hard. It may be worth trying.

I just had a SS put on a pre-date 314 shaft. This tip plays pretty well, but even the SS is still a significantly more firm feel than an Everest, and I don't think it provides the spin velocity that Everest does - and the (especially) Everest OR Moori Med & Soft both provide more action with less effort.
I think Kamui tips - II & Black - are inherently a good deal firmer across the board. For the player that's seeking a firmer tip, with good "grip" characteristics for its firmness, and who on avg tends to stay close to the center of the cue ball - these are probably a really good choice. And my guess is that they'd retain their shape & play consistently for a long life.

nice

Got my tips, they look great. Not on a cue as yet though. Thanks Troy :)

I see it did not take long for Kens "sometimes people should put their two cents in their piggy bank" line to show up elsewhere. :p I love the line myself. Must have told about 10 people yesterday. :D:D

Was wondering if there are an Durometer readings on these tips. Obviously, these new black tips grip the cue ball well and hold chalk well, which is great! But, I wish we had some stats. The layered tip that I use is 73.6 on the durometer, which is very soft. Another example is a sniper tip measures 96.0 on the meter. I find these readings really reflect the actual hardness of a tip. IMO

Hi leaguedude,

Just to let you know, that the hardness of the Sniper tip from Tiger product is around 66.9 (Medium) instead of 96.0 (this will be for Break and Jump Tip).
