Ok, no one laugh at me please:)

Has anyone installed a table much higher than normal for people with bad backs? I was practicing stroking on my kitchen bar height counter, which is 47" high. It was extremely comfortable for me, and I did not have to bend my back at all. I'm 6'3" tall.

Anyone have any comments to share about taller tables?

you could have blocks installed under the legs of your table to raise the height to where you want it but I doubt that there is a taller table since there is a height standard per BCA rules.

29 1/4" - 31" as defined by BCA Pool Regulations

I've installed 3 inch blocks on a Peter Vitalie table bringing the playing surface to 34 inches +or-. The customer also was quite tall and suffered back pain. He claims it really helps him practice longer and is much more comfortable than a standard 30 inch table. If you go much above 34 inch height you do change the access to shots, especially for your shorter opponents. 47" table height would be way over the top...:grin-square:
