TAR 26 Archer vs Van Boening Presented by OB Cues. Sponsored by Kamui, Simonis and CueSports International.

The Action Report is excited to announce TAR 26: Archer vs Van Boening presented by OB Cues and sponsored by Kamui, Simonis Cloth and CueSports International. Everyone has been waiting years to see these two Champions get in the ring and go toe to toe. It’s time to rock and roll.

The match format is Ten Ball race to twenty five. Johnny and Shane will play one set a day. The first player to win two sets wins the match. The prize fund is $5000 with winner receiving $4000 and the loser $1000.

TAR 26 will take place the weekend after the BCAPL National Tournament in Las Vegas Nevada. The match will be played in the TAR Studio on a Diamond Pro Am nine foot table with Simonis 860 cloth and 4 1/8 inch pockets. Jump cues are allowed, winner breaks and the Magic Rack will be used. Start time for each days play is 7 PM Eastern.

TAR 26 will be available to watch live via streaming pay per view on theactionreport.com. The price is $15 per day or $35 for the entire match. Each days play will loop on the PPV stream until 5 PM Eastern the next day. In the event that the match ends after two days then the entire match will loop on the third day for 24 hours. We have waited a long time for this one. WTG TAR. I never thought I'd see this one on a Diamond. Two great matches in May on TAR and both good betting matches IMO. Johnnyt
 
The last time SVB and JA gambled was at DCC when most didn't know who Shane was at that point. It was on the TV table with SVB getting the 7 playing 9 ball IIRC...around 2003-2004...I could be wrong as most my earlier DCC's were a bit fuzzy at times....:thumbup:


I wonder if JA will put any extra down for this one even though they are playing on a Diamond...Should be a great match wither way!! And thanks for making it happen too....

And, the reason (most likely) is due to TAR's new match funding model.

Archer wanting to gamble on a tight GC had a lot in common with Archer putting his own cashish on the line.

Now, they can just play.

Yes your right, but I believe Johnny A still don't like to be on the losing side anytime on any table. Johnnyt
 
I am really looking forward to seeing this matchup. Johnny has been playing at a top level for over 20 years and obviously Shane is the best that the USA has to offer right now. Player of the decade against a future Player of the decade?
