TAR 37 Contest for a Contest Idea

I want to give away some free PPV's for TAR37 this weekend. In the past I have done the guess the score thing and feel like doing something new. So I will give away a free PPV to the person who comes up with the most fun/interesting way to give away PPV's.

This idea can be for here on AZ or on Facebook. If I use two different ideas I will give two PPV's.

This will run until noon tomorrow.

Any ideas?

How about the total number of 8 ball and 9 ball racks run from the break?

Or - total number of balls pocketed on the break(s) for the complete weekend :).

Either way looking forward to a great TAR weekend!

I think you should have a contest to come up with the funniest thing you've ever heard SVB or Corey say. I'm not sure on Corey, but I've heard and seen Shane say some VERY funny stuff!


You could also do a contest, Come up with the best Catch Phrase for each player.

Mine entry for the above is for Shane, "If I fell out of a boat, I could still spot water the 7."

The contest has to have a means to determine the winners before the match starts just to keep it simple. Though I do see some merit in maybe doing something where people who buy in can win something. I will work on that.
 
The best contest which will benefit both you (TAR) and the winning contestant is to have a raffle pulled from those who shared your FB (twitter) post regarding the match.

AZB has great members, but those who help spread the word further, should be rewarded.

Free PPV raffle for those who share a post on FB (twitter)!

I would suggest having people submit video's of themselves doing cool trickshots, hustles, something funny or comical, creative, etc, yet pool-related as your contest. Anyone with a digital camera or smartphone can do this. Set your criteria on what you are looking for and the funniest/best video wins. This would also be free marketing that your target market can engage in. Everyone loves watching these sorts of things!

How about taking the pressure off of the contestants trying to guess the winner and have them try and guess the loser. :-)
 
You did a caption thing on facebook, was that for a PPV giveaway? If not, you should do a caption the pic for the promotion pic you have for this match, best one you and/or the players pick would win. Hm.. is having the players pick a PPV winner a good idea and would count towards the free PPV contest?

If you do a caption contest, I already have one made up for it :-)
 
You could also give it away, based on who offers the best questions for the TAR podcast?

I have several for that, just waiting for a thread to be posted.
 
My idea isn't as good as the others, but....

I thought it would be fun if someone had to submit a video of themselves with their foreheads on the tip of their jump cues, spinning around it...like the bat thing at minor league games...then having to grab a cue and attempt a break/run....8 ball, cuz everyone hates it.

I just thought it might provide hours of entertainment to Justin reviewing the entries.

  1. Total number of unscheduled bathroom breaks (not including intermission) I bet 7 total for 3 days.
  2. Total number of times Robert says Wade Crane had the best break
  3. Total number of times Robert says Buddy Hall had the best cue ball control
  4. Total number of times Cory shoots a crazy...only the Prince would do that shot in One Pocket
  5. Total number of Makers Mark Bourbon that will be sacrificed in the making of TAR37

All BS aside. How about total number of balls made on the break in Rotation play (total for both players combined). Now you got to factor how many games will be played and the number of balls.
 
On the podcast. Have them each break a full rack. Whoever guesses the correc number of balls made by each player is the winner.
 
I'd suggest a Howard Stern-like "Who has the biggest hemorrhoid" but then it'd prob get the thread pulled. Then, I thought of "Who has the biggest nipples," but that would all but guarantee that a woman would win it.

How about whoever has the longest tongue gets a free PPV?
 
Best Photoshop/Captioned TAR 37 flier(advertisement). I have no chance of winning as I have no skills in this area but there are some talented people on here.

I am all for that. The only hang up is that type of contest is against the Facebook TOS. I know lots of people do them but according to the rules if you make someone share a post to have a chance to win something Facebook can suspend your account and I just have not wanted to take a chance.

"3. Promotions may be administered on Pages or within apps on Facebook. Personal Timelines must not be used to administer promotions (ex: “share on your Timeline to enter” or “share on your friend's Timeline to get additional entries” is not permitted)."

If it is ok to use a company page for that type of promotion I would do it. I am just familiar enough with all the rules to know what is allowed and what is not. This why in past contests I didnt require sharing to enter and just drew a random number.

I have no knowledge of Twitters TOS but if its allowed there I will do one.

Anything stats related is tough. Cause someone would have to keep stats.

Maybe "How many times Robert says "He has to get it to that diamond" without ever specifying which diamond. It cracks me up every time he does it.
