So I've been pondering posting this hoping that TAR would come through on their promise, but they have not after months. This is totally not my style normally, but I feel like it should be brought to the attention of the community.
Back in July I ordered a 2 DVD set of the action all around one pocket set. The DVDs would not play in my DVD player or in my PC. I work in the technology industry as a security consultant reviewing software (aka I'm not an idiot who can't play a movie). The burn even looked funny on the back of the disk. These disks were clearly defective.
So in August I began contacting TAR by email with no response. I probably sent 5-10 emails over the course of a month to several of the listed email addresses. I finally called them requesting a refund and they agreed. This also happened about 4-5 times on top of several emails. Months later, I still have not received DVD replacements despite all of my efforts. On my last two calls they promised me to provide another set of DVDs on top of my replacements for my troubles.
1. A they need to ship a working product. These DVDs are not cheap.
2. They need to be responsive - I should have only had to ask once...maybe twice if they forgot.
I love what TAR does for pool, but I am never again providing them with another dollar of my hard earned money based on my most recent experience. This entire issue could have been solved by simply saying either you are shit out of luck, which I could have dealt with easier than being ignored and jacked around. My time is valuable and they have wasted a few hours of it by giving me the runaround.
I hope they read this. I would gladly retract this statement if they would be willing to simply come through on their offer and provide an explanation for the pathetic level of service to their PAYING customers. I like a few of you are one of their much needed (and relatively few) PAYING customers. They can't afford to lose any more of us so I urge the guys at TAR to send me my items or refund my money please.
