It took forever but it is finally ready. The straight pool set from the second Action All Around with Danny Harriman vs John Schmidt. This set was truly epic. It features four 100 ball runs in the set.

Commentary by Fred Agnir, Ken Shuman and Bill Maropolis. It is 6 hours long on three dvds with live scoring featuring the match score as well as the individual run score updated per ball.

I had forgotten how awesome this set was until I was cutting it. It really is something pretty special for anyone who likes straight pool. It is shipping out Thursday Sept. 3.

Price is $34.95 shipped in the U.S. and international shipping is available. You can get it here http://www.theactionreport.net/product.sc?productId=63&categoryId=1

thanks for the notice Justin. And for keeping the score, and for free feed of that ;)

Is there a 30 second demo clip or so of the match, just to get an idea of camera angles and lighting?

Didn't you see this when it was streamed? It was a fine feed.

Video of the first match was great. I would expect this to be the same.

based on what I managed to see from the streaming, there is one single camera (3/4) shooting from the racking end (traditional); lighting is good, as well as the overall picture quality.
Justin provided the score for the whole match, he counts current break and total score. I think it could have given him a hard time when a player could occasionally pocket two or more balls in one shot ;) Those things are often not easy to notice, and one can say how many balls were made only after another rack disappears.

Anybody get theirs yet?

I was hoping mine would be in the mail yesterday.

Haven't seen anything yet... but I've been dead tired after getting back from the Texas Open, so I haven't looked at my mail.

Yesterday was Tuesday

The day before that was Monday - a holiday

The day before that was Sunday - the post office doesn't run on Sun

The postal service gets a little backed up just before a holiday due to two days of not running and people shipping before the holiday to get their stuff out as soon as they can.

From Vegas to the east coast, factoring in a holiday & a weekend, I would think that this Friday or Sat is a more realistic expected date than Tuesday.

And the day before that was Saturday...

and before that Friday.....

and before that... I'm thinking Thursday.

Thank you for all of your help. I don't know where I would be without your input.

If the discs were shipped on Thur afternoon, they more than likely didn't leave the Vegas (or South Dakota) post office until Friday. With Monday being a holiday the post office gets higher than normal traffic on Friday & Saturday. While I might have been a little "smart" in my response, the fact of the matter is that expecting it on Tuesday & complaining about it on Wednesday, following a holiday weekend was a little unreasonable in the expectation department.

ask me, Dennis :D I'm sure that if I get my copy earlier that you, then it's time to worry :D :D

I dogged getting some of the artwork to Chad so that is the delay. I got caught up with some things and just didnt get it done when it was supposed too. They should go out this week barring any disasters.

I am sorry for the delay for anyone who ordered. If anyone is too pissed let me know and I will do whatever I can to make you happy. I know it sucks waiting for something you ordered.

I understand.

I realize I was a little sarcastic in my response.

I didn't actually complain. I was just asking if anyone received theirs yet. Some people who ordered may be closer to them.

Walsh is my name. Unreasonable expectations are my game.

Everything is cool.

You guys work so hard on this stuff.

I like to get presents in the mail, but I will be patient.

Thanks for all you do.

FYI, I just got an e-mail last night saying the DVD had shipped. Hopefully I'll get it early next week!
