Tascarella cue

ORIGINAL HAND SIGNATURE........

Marcus

Thanks so much! One can tell it's a Pete Sr. just by looking at the windows in the butt sleeve. Very nice cue, by the way! Rosewood, I suppose?

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

Double Red Veneer

It is about time to contribute a couple of my gems.
Here is one of the first I was able to acquire from Marcus.
I have had this one for a couple of years and have not really showed it off - until now.

The first image is directly from Marcus that shows the cue in full length.
I saved this picture as it was the one that sold me on jumping on the cue when it became available.

Now for the updated images...
The Joint Protectors are from our very own Alton on the forum and really set this cue off very nicely.

The forearm on this one is just beautiful and the double red veneers really show it off.

As a Butt Lover, I saved the best for last.
Nothing like a beautiful Bushka ring to accentuate a beautiful Butt.

Thank You Marcus!

HOW ABOUT SOME PURPLEHEART.......

YOU DON'T SEE MANY IN THIS WOOD FROM THE TASCARELLAS

Marcus

The 2nd cue I am displaying is the first and more than likely the only 6-Pointer that the Tascarella team has made.
Big 3/8 pin, long points, rambo butt, and bumperless take a somewhat classical design over the top with the matching slim nickel silver throughout.

Again, the first image is directly from Marcus to showcase the entire cue.

The cue caps on the shafts again completed by Alton.

Now the forearm with all 6 points being equally long.

Now the butt which is bumpless and with a beautiful piece of ebony (1st image is from Marcus and the 2nd is from today).

Hope you enjoy this beauty as the Tascarella team will not make another 6-Pointer again (with all equally long points).

Seriously? Why? That would make my Pete Sr. kind of a rarity then, too. Or do you mean six points of equal length only?

Beautiful cues, by the way, both of them, congrats!

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE CONVERSION CUE......

Marcus

Wow! This is certainly unique. Do you know what brand of cue it was?

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

IT IS THE ONLY ONE WITH 6 ALL HIGH POINTS. YOUR CUE IS ALSO RARE, THERE AREN'T MANY 6 POINT CUES AVAILABLE. I WISH I HAD PICTURES OF THE IVORY POINTED ONE THAT I SAW MANY YEARS AGO WHEN I FIRST STARTED BUYING CUES. AT THAT TIME IT WAS WAY OUT OF MY LEAGUE, I'D BE ALL OVER IT KNOW.

IT WAS A VERY OLD BRUNSWICK 8 POINT CUE. ONE OF THE FANCIEST FROM IT'S TIME PERIOD. I'VE BEEN ON THE LOOKOUT FOR ANOTHER QUALITY BLANK LIKE THIS, AND HAVEN'T FOUND ANOTHER BLANK LIKE IT. (THAT WASN'T WAY OVER PRICED)

Marcus

IT'S CURLY BUBINGA.

Marcus

Can you show us what the forearm of this cue looks like? :) Please!!

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

Here is one that was included in the group shot of Tascarella cues in the 3rd Edition of the Blue Book.
When I showed this cue to Pete Sr. at VF, he mentioned that this one of his favorite designs.
It has been one of my favorites as well so looking forward to placing it into the gallery.

The whole cue image is once again from Marcus and his picture does show this one off very nicely as well.

Once again the shaft side cue caps by our own Alton.

One more to go but it did rain a bit so will have to take some updated pictures of the last one tomorrow.
But here they all are in a case that I still need to showcase...

Ohh my God .... immediately this song comes to my brain when i look at this cue .....

Like a thunderstorm on a summer day
She came out of nowhere and that can say
She´s a supernova shinin´ through the night
A never sleeping satellite

She´s a damn good reason for the sun to ride
When you see her smile in the morning light
When she cries, she cries a wishing well
Played hide and seek with the hounds of hell

She throws you down to take you high
Into her private sky

She´s so
Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful
Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful
Magical, mystical, irresistible, cosmical
A wonderful overkill and most of all beautiful
Ooooh ooh ooh aha
Ooooh ooh ooh
She´s so oooh ooh ooh
aha oooh ooh ooh
Beautiful
mmh so beautiful

You wanna call her name from the highest hill
And she´s better than a 5-million-dollar bill
She swims with you to atlantis´ coast
To keep you save while the world explodes

She´s diving down to keep you high
Inside her velvet sky

She´s so
Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful
Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful
Magical, mystical, irresistible, cosmical
A wonderful overkill and most of all beautiful
Ooooh ooh ooh
She´s so beautiful
She´s so oooh ooh ooh
Aha oooh ooh ooh
Beautiful

She´s a mermaid who´s left her fairytale
She wrote a brandnew song for the nightingale
Sometimes I think she´s invented but
Thank-god she´s made of flesh and blood.

She´s everything I´ve ever missed the more
But most of all she is

Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful
Beautiful wonderful powerful magical mystical
Irresistible overkill and most of all beau-ti-ful
Ooooh ooh ooh aha
She´s so beautiful
She´s so oooh ooh ooh
Aha oooh ooh ooh

Hi Myron, I was waiting for your posting. I saw them in person and they sure are real germs. Keep them coming folks and thank you for posting yours.
Regards
Peter

Thanks Marcus! Very unusual again. Do not remember having seen another Tasc with burl in it - at least not by the old man. You appear to have an enviable collection, congrats!

Leads me to a question not necessarily relevant to a discussion of Tascarella cues: do all burls have to be cored, or are there exceptions?

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

This cue is so my style damn what a cue!!

While it's beautiful for sure, I have had rather negative experiences with any cues in which the points were made of a relatively softer material into a hard one, such as here, an ebony forearm - I find them stiff to the feel, and deflection (especially with speed), regardless of shaft taper, more erratic than with classic "hard into softer" prong designs. There may be exceptions.

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

I'VE USED THIS CUE WITH MY PLAYING SHAFT, AND IT HAS A NICE SOLID HIT AND FEEL TO IT.

I GUESS IT'S ALL ABOUT HOW IT'S BUILT, AND WHAT EACH PLAYER LIKES. I'VE ALWAYS LIKE THE HIT OF AN EBONY NOSE.
