First, it was highly debatable that this thread served any purpose at all, at least as far along as I read it which I think was a few pages or so. Second, this unimportant thread was causing issues with site sponsors. Unless you and the other posters that are objecting to the deletion want to pick up the tab for the lost sponsors I think it is in the forums best interest to delete a thread that had little value anyway. Jerry did say that it is still in limbo somewhere and could be revived if Mike and Dave thought it should be.

I could see the site taking a stand for a valuable thread. Taking a stand against the folks providing your income for little reason is foolhardy. I just worked over twenty-four hours straight and then gave the work away. It wasn't worth losing a $75K a year and growing customer account over a few thousand dollars.

Sorry to disagree in practice when I agree in principle but sometimes a smart businessman chooses his battles. This wasn't one worth fighting for AZB.

I'm doing great! Ike passed me by with just a cool breeze and a little rain. Not only that, my home is now lake front property. Ike has pushed the lake over both of my interstate entrances/exits, up the boulevard, down my little road and right up over the foot of my driveway!

Anyone want to buy some property fronting on Lake Ponchatrain? These properties often go for a half million dollars or more and I willing to sell this one for much less, maybe a whole lot less than much less depending on which way the wind blows and how much rain I get over the next day or so!

Missing an event this weekend that I had been planning to make for months is the only minor drawback to all of this. :(
