Tiger Team News and Updates!
SHAWN PUTNAM:
Hello Everyone,
Last month I moved to Powder Springs, Ga. This move was to better my career and my health! Sometimes a change of scenery is good for the soul. I plan on losing more weight and practicing harder to make a run at yet another title. Down here in Georgia, I have found that my fans are kind to me.
I am working on becoming the house pro at Side Pockets Billiards here in Marietta, Ga. The owner there also owns the APA Pool Leagues in the area. If I get the position I am going to offer the APA players in his league a special deal on private lessons. My normal rate is $100 an hour; however his league players will get a special rate of $40 an hour! Pretty good huh?
I just competed in the Gem City Classic at the Marietta Billiard Club - owned by my good friends Johnny Archer and Kim Davenport! I took 5th losing matches to Johnny (Archer) and Stevie Moore. They both played perfect on me!
My next event will be Turning Stone.
I am currently ranked 5th in the country and 3rd out of the Americans on the BCA Points List. This is very important for my dreams of being on the Mosconi Cup again!

SAMM DIEP:
Since joining Team Tiger in April, Samm spent a week at the Tiger factory filming "Unleash the Tiger Within" with Corey Harper, a series of videos illustrating all the various Tiger products and giving a tour of the facility.
Next on the agenda was the annual month-long Vegas stint for the BCAPL, VNEA, and ACS national tournaments. She cashed in all of the masters events, but during the BCAPL nationals, Samm finished in the top 10% of an open field of 200+ players in the 9-ball pro-am event, making her the top lady finisher.
Since Vegas, Samm has been enjoying most of her summer in Minneapolis training, writing, and relaxing.
Side Projects: Samm and her boyfriend, professional billiard instructor Mike Fieldhammer, will be directing a $5,000-added 8-ball tournament in Mahnomen, Minnesota over Labor Day weekend (see ShootingStarClassic.com for more details). Samm has also been asked to be a player representative and ambassador for the new game of 6Pocket (see 6Pocket.com for more details).
"Low key summers are the perfect way to recoop and prepare for my whirlwind pool seasons," said Samm.

Let's see, just got back from Gem City which was GREAT and I finished 12th there having lost matches to Larry Nevel and Mike Davis 9-4 and 9-5 respectively. It was an awesome event and I am sure you read all of the reports on it.
I didn't do anything special for the 4th of July, I like to play it safe. Played a KF Cue Tour thing weekend of June 13th where I finished 7th, the May 30th event at Bankshots I finished 4th.
June 20th at the Seminole event June 20th at Bankshots I finished 9th after losing my first match, at the May 23rd event at Capone's it was 13th place.
Haven't been doing great but finishing in the cash almost every event, and made some progress with my game at the Gem City thing. I am working on that right now to learn more. Also finished the interview with the Billiard Digest staff for the August issue (currently in print page 59) , can't wait for that to come out.

• August 1st, J. Pechauer Tour Finals at Capone's.
• August 6-9th, Dragon 14.1 and 9-ball events in Orlando.

OSCAR DOMINGUEZ:
Hi everybody! I have been super busy, but here’s the rundown of what I’ve been doing last few months:
Placed 9th at Predator International 10-Ball (Las Vegas) Event. I beat World 10-Ball Champion Darren Appleton, and many other strong players. That is, until Alex Pagulayan beat me 10-6.
I played in the Philippine Open (Manila) and placed 13th after losing to Antonio Gabica in the first round. I beat Satoshi Kawabata (former Japan #1) among others and ended up losing to eventual runner-up Jeff DeLuna in close match.
Next, was China, where I did not perform as well as I’d have liked and ended up placing 33-48.
Currently I am at Turning Stone in Verona, NY. I hope to start playing better after working so much and get back in the groove of things.
Coming up next, I have a TAR Challenge match soon with John Morra Sept 25, 2009 at Hard Times Billiards (Bellflower, Ca)
