Telling us how the pros should shoot in chat

i think it's okay for people to say that they would've played a shot a different way. it's preference and there's usually more than one solution to the problem. as a lower level player i like it's cause it's good to know what the options are. (and you can usually tell the nits from the people who know what they are talking about pretty quickly)

the commentators on the stream...can we get people that actually commentate on the match? or can actually play a little bit? there's so many times the commentators don't add any insight and end up telling stories about their dog, their job, etc. while a good match is going on.

there's gotta be some type of baseline on who's allowed do commentary.

I agree, it is highly annoying. I think it is even worse though on some of the smaller streams where just a couple local players are playing and you start to see all the spots that would be given out in chat. I would give that guy the 7....he can get the 6 out from me....whatever dude. Funny thing is they would probably say the same nonsense no matter who was playing, and if it came down to it, probably get the 7 ball rammed right up their cornhole.

I have to say Johnny I agree with you sometimes. I don't get annoyed when the complaining happens on TAR or any PPV because people pay for the feed and have the right to complain. What drives me crazy is when the feed is free and people complain about the play. Please stop complaining about free stuff - it's free.

Do the pros always shoot the right shot? For the most part, yes, that's what seperates them from the common player. However, the right shot usally boils down to: did it work? As Brooklyn Jay said, there are several ways to play a shot and some shots have a few correct options. As a viewer and someone learning the game, I for one enjoy the options I hear from the peanut gallery. Sometimes we all learn somehing.

Just ignore it. If they were really all that good, they would be the ones shooting, and not the ones watching.
As for the football analogy someone made, it's the same thing. Who has the multi-million dollar contract to throw a football? It sure isn't the guy in the stands.

Like my father used to tell me, it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out, and remove all doubt.

Rather than trying to second guess the pros, I prefer to try to understand their thought process, particularly if it is different from what I think I might have done in that situation.

Johnny, forget about it. You know as well as I some people just need attention or make it seem like they know something. I guess there trying to impress, possibly a girl in the chat. Who knows who cares they just flap their lips.

Believe me I know the world is full of them, not just in a chat or stream. So to me it just goes in one ear and out the other. Well at least for me since I deal with quite a few opinionated people every day. Some should just keep there mouths shut. Because once they open them it leaves no doubt they don't have a clue.

I agree with Rod here. Most of those shooting off at the keyboard would be mum if face to face with the Pro's they were bashing. Also, I find that most people who jump up and brag about how good they play when the subject of pool comes up are usually bangers without a clue. Most people who play the game seriously and at a higher level know that talk is cheap and execution on the table is the real proof of your knowledge/skill.

I'm not coplaining about the play. I'm coplaining about a few people in the chat that are not near as good as who they are bad mouthing there play, shot seletion, and anything else. Johnnyt

Johnny i know what you mean. now I try to guess if there going to play a shot the way I would, and maybe thats what everyone else is saying outloud. I mean we all do it but not everyone voices what they think.
