There were 109 players signed up when the closing bell rang at Noon
today and the 40th Annual Reunion Tournament (Terry Stonier Memorial)
is underway at The Jointed Cue in Sacramento.

I'm not certain if anyone will be posting the Brackets, but I plan to be
there all day tomorrow for the Finals and will post results if Angel doesn't
beat me to it.

Good Luck to all the Players in attendance at this Premier Sacramento
Billiards Event.

Thanks

My Part

I did my part with a $50 contribution to the prize fund in exchange for some table time: 2-6, 5-6. I did come back from 0-5 in the last one but let it slip away on a long nearly straight in 6-ball that I tried to follow 2 rails. I played well early in most racks but, as I am known to do, I kept giving them back. I play pretty good up to the 8. :)

They announced 111 players signed up but I don't know the official count. Most of the regionally recognizable players are there - George Michaels, Chris MacDonald, Jeff Gregory, Trevor Smith, Ed Ames, Bart Mahoney, Rafael Martinez, Gilbert ???, Mary Rakin, and all of the strong Sacramento contingent - Jim Fabionar, Austin Murphy, Joey Gebron, Jonny Oliveras, Frank Nordman, Patrick Rhea, ...

Billy Palmer was there but I overheard he couldn't fade work to hit the start time. I saw TomInCincy taking some movies and pictures, CaPoolFan(Angel) was busy barking out matches, and the Cheeseburgers were yummy as always. Should be some awesome matches tonight and tomorrow!

Good Times.

Looks like another amazing turnout!

One of the best tournaments on the west coast, or pretty much anywhere for that matter- wish I could have made it this year.
ALWAYS a tough one with great players!
Glad they had such a great turnout again this year-
How'd Gilbert Arellano do?
I had to wear my Jointed cue shirt in my absence at another tourney today...lol

The finals should be full of some lights out shooting tomorrow, with those guys in the lineup!

Have fun and eat one of Dave's famous Cheesburgers for me!lol:grin:

you left my name off the list?

Well, Rafael Martinez took 3rd and now it's James Carbo (winner's side) against Bryce Avila (loser's side) for the BIG Prize ...

I left after Rafael lost to Bryce in a very exciting hill-hill match ... We all were treated to some very entertaining 9-Ball action today ... Nothing short of what we expected from a great field of players ...

I'm certain Angel will follow-up later with full blow-by-blow details of today's matches ...

A huge THANK YOU goes out to David Stonier & Family, and everyone behind the scenes who made this Annual Tournament such a huge success once again ...

Final Day at the Q

Well what a great day of pool at the Jointed Cue I will try my best to remember all the matches from today starting out with the 2 losers side matches. Jamie Bruce beat Austin Murphy 6-5 in a tough 1 for the kid. He got a little funny on the 9 case game and left Jamie a shot on the 9. Rafael Martinez just destroyed Marshall Williams 6-0. Marshall got a few tough rolls and Martinez got out everytime. On the winners side, James Carbo beat Chris Macdonald 6-2 James played well and Chris scratched 3 times and it cost him the match. Bryce Avila played Jeff Gregory and won that match 6-4 good match. Macdonald just out played Bruce in a 6-2 win. Martinez did the same to Gregory 6-1. Avila got a little unlucky with an 8 ball case game with Carbo, sending him to play Rafael in another great hill hill match and leaving Rafael in 3rd. Bryce wins the first set of the finals 6-4 but it was like Carbo ran out of gas in the Finals with a 6-0 score. Great tournament, I had a blast as usual. Here are some pics I took with my phone so sorry some are a little fuzzy.
