I just heard about this guy, does anyone know if he would he be able to do some tip work at the Open? I've never been to the open, this would be my 1st to watch.

Just got back late last night, wish I could have played but oh well. Had Ron do work on two shafts, great work. Now I complain my shafts are TOO clean haha.

Well had my first Texas Open. A big thanks to Gary for hosting, Lewis, Paul and a crew of happy helpers for running a very smooth venue. The service and staff were awesome, the talented field as good as any to be found. Only complaint, hotter than hell to try and play in, no fans, would be nice to improve the A/C. A great experience, thanks to all who worked to make it happen. :clapping:

Thanks to you and Hope for coming. Yes it was hot and we sat there and tallked about that until about 5:30 AM and already have plans for next year.

FWIW, nobody was more upset about this than GQ ownership. The place was just packed and nobody could foresee that many people being in there and plus the fact that it was just dam hot outside.

GQ spent a lot of money getting the air conditioners checked out and serviced before the event and were very disappointed in the results. Believe me, they want everything to go as perfectly as pssible, and it didn't.

All anyone can do at this point is chalk it up to lessons leraned and plan to make things better. As I said, nobody wants things to go perfect more than GQ ownership.

Stlill, it was great to see you all and look forward to seeing all at the 36th.

I personally would like to thank everyone involved with the tournament. I know it was hot some days we were there 12-14 hours a day ourselfs. We had 7 people from differant areas Colbert,Okla,Whitesboro Tx.,Sherman Tx., Mckinney Tx. We all played at differant times so we were there all day. When we got there in the morning we seen the same people working when we left so i know they were there longer than we were. I know it takes a lot of work to put a tournament on like this. Take satisfaction in knowing that some appreciate what a few did. Thanks

I absolutely agree with you bullshooter69!!! I heard a lot of people complaining, myself included b/c I don't like to sweat =) BUT, I would definitely go back in a New York minute under the same conditions!!! And I do appreciate that the wait-staff was sweating just like me and probably even more!!! They worked hard and deserve some recognition!!! So, HERE'S TO THE G-CUE STAFF!!!! Y'ALL ROCK! :thumbup:
 
The G-Cue staff is awesome! I did not go to this years open, but I have been to a few others. Also, Gary Welling allowed me to hold a collegiate tournament there a couple years back and was thrilled to do it and help with it!
