Not only is this gonna be the BEST Texas Open ever, The BIG MONEY event in Galveston is the next weekend!!

Last years Texas Open was a full field of 128 Players from all over. It is THE longest running Tournament in the US. The current Texas Open Champion is Shane Van Boening.

Myself and Cristina Dela Garza were visiting last week about what an exciting 3 weeks of pool it will be this September. We also discussed organizing some Action for the 3 days between the Texas Open and The World Classic!!

Anyone interested in joining in on an action match during those three days should call or pm ASAP. There is streaming and VIP seating in the plans.

I'll be there. The AC is no joke. Hopefully it's better this year.

I also plan on coming back down for the last weekend of The World Classic.

G-Cues IS aware of what is needed to improve the event. They want it to be cool in there as much as anyone. The smoking......well......the owners are smokers and you know how that goes.

Look forward to seeing everyone there!

As it stands right now, I can stay in the doghouse in my own backyard when I get back from the BIG MONEY Galveston TOURNAMENT.

If I went to both tournaments, I would have to move me and the doghouse to my neighbors backyard.

Joey,

The 3 days between the two events WILL be chock full of action!!

There will be one "Marquis" match up and several under card matches! I have one player for the "Marquis" match verbally committed already and several under card matches that could happen.

Announcements will be made ASAP.

Perhaps I could manage to drive over a few days in advance to Houston first and simply sleep under the pool tables when I get tired and move from pool room to pool room until I reach Galveston.

I know this would put me and my dog house in the neighbor's backyard but it might be worth it.

Texas has way too many tournaments already. It's not right I tell ya. Everytime I see a bar table tournament ad, I say to myself before I read it, "Please be in Florida." But where is it? In friggin Texas. I'm getting to hate that state. Oh, and Alaska is much bigger:p. Johnnyt

i'm definitely in for the Texas Open, not sure if the extended Galveston event can fit in my schedule but I'm going to try.

If you like bar table tournaments, you should go to one of Lafayette LA tournament at White Diamonds. There isn't another bar table tournament in the country that compares, imo.

The Calcutta is enormous. The Calcutta gets up near 40,000.00 dollars so that could be a pretty good return on your money.

Just don't use JohnnyT as your name in the tournament because the painter, the pool guy, the mail man, the delivery guy and the gardener might show up and out you.

There is really not that many bar table tournaments in Texas. The Texas Open is on 9 foot,s but we have mostly 8 foot tables in Texas.

Well.....Rose Country is coming up in July! It's 2k added and open tables., The BCA State Tournament on Diamond 7fts. The World Classic will have 150 7ft Diamond Bar tables in September.

.........I guess you're right, that's only 3.
