Thank You All That Helped

I'd like to thank all the AZ Members that have answered my many questions over the last few years on here. I'm proud to say at this time I've made it back to "A" on a bar box. I know a lot of members on here don't understand how someone that claims he was an "A" on a BB for years asking so many basic questions that any "B" player would know.

As most players know, pool takes memory, both memory of how to do things and muscle memory. When someone has a stroke (I've had 3) it can affect different parts of your brain. In my case it wiped-out just about everything I ever knew about playing pool before the stroke. I also cry watching sad or romantic movies now that I never did before and many other things have changed in my brain. I feel for the most part it's made me a better person, but that's for a different forum.

Again, thank you all for the many answers to my questions, for steering me in the right direction on everything from equipment to training DVD's. I'm now looking forward to my health to get a bit better (which it is) and start playing in a few tournaments in Florida, now that I know I won't embarrass myself too badly. I know my gambling days are over (can't fade the pressure anymore), but that's alright too…been there, done that many times in my 55 years of playing. Johnnyt

Johnny,
I don't post on here much, just mainly read and learn. I have to say that you're one of the cant miss posters for me. I love to read the stuff you put up. I'm also a barbox player so maybe that is why. Just wanted to give you a thank you for all your contributions.

It sounds like you have the stroke thing down Johnny, and I am talking about your game:). Good luck this year in the tourney's and I hope you have a happy new year.

Don't take this wrong

I hope you have another stroke.
The kind that turns 'white flags' into 'hangers.'
Your posts keep us on our toes.
Happy New Year

"Back atcha" with the thanks

I trust that I speak for a large number of us, when we say the feeling's mutual. I've been just as entranced with your event-by-event accounts of, e.g. lemon-ing it on your back porch, to lure the painters painting the house next door into a money game with you. You have a way of expressing yourself with the written word that makes one feel like he/she is right there, witnessing the events and drama as they unfold. So I say "back atcha" with the thanks!

Now, speaking of that barbox thing, I understand you are the President/CEO of the Barbox Anti Defamation And Support Society (B.A.D.A.S.S.), which makes you lead B.A.D.A.S.S. I would like to know how to become a B.A.D.A.S.S. myself? I'm vacationing out here in Denver (I live in NY as you know) until Jan 3rd, and last night, while walking into a well-known pool establishment here in Denver, on a whim, I entered and snapped-off this establishment's 2009 Year-end Open 9-ball tournament, using nothing but a "Wall-abushka" that I pulled off the wall, because I didn't travel with my cues this time. (See the "P.S." in this post.) Would this (or could this be used to) count towards my membership application?

:D
