Thank You, David Tice

I wanted to give a public Thank You to Mr. Tice for the incredible job he did on a couple of cues for me.For those of you who dont know him, Mr.Tice is a cuemaker out of Leavenworth,WA. who builds some cues with quality and playability that is unbelievably good. When i ordered the first cue he asked me for an incredible amount of detail about what i wanted,so much so that i had to stop and think about a couple of the questions.(now i am so glad he did).Fast forward to the day i received the cue; Mr.Tice hit every goal, weight(with all 3 shafts),balance point, the woods used were beautiful, AND to top it off he is absolutely one of the nicest folks i have ever done business with.Recently i ordered a more elaborate cue with points, etc and it has a G10 pin rather than 3/8-10 steel.I requested the same specs. and again he hit the numbers exactly. His ringwork is the best i have seen.I realize my thoughts may not be earth shaking but one of the pool communities highly regarded players and gentlemen,Dan Louie, has played with a David Tice cue for many years. The Pacific Northwest definitely is keeping one of cuemakings best kept secrets.Mike

Nice to here Daves name again and so much well deserved praise. I met Dave many years ago and always admired his awesome work with wood.
He's a great guy too and should be better known as he is a "best kept secret".

My friend has a Tice cue that is one of the most beuatiful cues I have ever seen. The number of inlays(all wood) is mind boggling in their intricacy. I had never heard of him and I asked my cuemaker about him and he said that he is one the best cuemakers in the country and yet seems to be a secret to most. I would love to see some of his work posted on this forum.

Charlie,I am inept at anything computer related but will figure out how to post some pics.Davids work really is incredible, plays out of this world, and is very reasonably priced. If a few folks ever get their hands on his cues he wont be able to keep up with the orders.

Yeah I have also heard alot of good things about David Tice. Dan Louie's new cue is beautiful with alot of inlay work in the butt cap. A friend in college always talked about getting a cue from him but had never tried to contact him. Nice work and good luck with the cue.

Just don't ask if he can make a cue with a steel joint....

I won't use a steel joint. I make cues that hit good. - D. Tice

I just gave up my steel jointed cue for a phenolic flat faced radial pin wood:wood and I'm so glad I did.

ps. anyone with pics of Tice cues, I'd love to see them.

Yes, please post pics of your new cue! People around here think my Keith cue is a Tice, because of the intricate ring work and classy beauty. Dave is a perfectionist and a very sweet guy. We had a discussion about the yips not too long ago.
