I came up from KC and had a great time, nice room. I attempted to provide updates here on my crackberry, I would like to thank Daryl Smith for letting me use his log in since I could not get logged in with my account.
I even got to play a little one pocket, I am sure they are having a nice tournament today.
I drove 220 miles each way to see this match and it was worth every second and penny even if my friends did poop out and I had to go alone.
Many thanks to Mike and Big Joe at Big Dogs and to anyone who had a hand in this match. I enjoyed myself immensly!! Not very often one gets to watch players the caliber of SVB and Jesse.
The crew at Big Dogs were extremely cordial and helpful as was Joe himself. I made some friends there and would recommend this ph as a place to go. Lots of Daimond tables and some Gold Crowns too. Very friendly staff and when a problem developed with the match table they took that puppy apart and fixed it quickly and professionaly. I liked it there. Good vibes... as we old hippies used to say
I said it in the update thread and will repeat it here...
Finally, someone made pool into a SPECTATOR event, vs. a player event.
I estimated about 125 people PAID TO WATCH. Paid to watch. And all spent money while there. My wife and I dropped $30 (plus tickets) and I paid for it the next day...oooooh.
A guy outta look into that kinda event.
Not only can Mike play a kick ass game, he can organize a game that pleases many. Nice job, Mike!
The challenge match was very well organized and fun to watch. Even the short "glue delay" was quickly remedied by the Big Dog's crew. Very nice event you put together Mike!
