A couple of years ago Scott and Randy donated their instructional DVD to my school program. Yesterday Scott went a step further and donated his time to do a seminar with my kids. He offered some great instruction and entertained my classes with trick shots. Towards the end of each session he got the kids involved with doing trick shots. The kids really enjoyed it and seeing my kids responses to executing the trick shots was great.

Scott is a truly great teacher and entertainer and is really generous. If ever you need someone to tune up your stroke I highly recommend him.

All the best,
Marcus

Good way to keep the sport going. Something the kids will never forget. Nice going Scott.

Its something that the kids will remember for a long time.
Who knows, if that personal visit can get one, even two kids interested in pool in the future, then it was all worth it.

Its kind of like, show me something and in time I will probably forget it. Let me do it myself and I will remember it forever.

Scott Lee is an inspiration to us all, I don't personally know him, but from what all I've read of him on AZB he is someone to be admired for what he does for our game, and I'm sure if any of those kids had a spark at all for pool that they now will have a burning flame for the game!

Nicely put. There's also a bonus that comes from when you teach it to others, you often learn more about it yourself.

Minorwood, this is a really good thing, Scott is doing!

This will give them something to think about and do to keep them busy. My hat is off to you Scott. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Marcus! I'm really not sure who had more fun...me or your kids! :D Like I said in the other thread, I am asking everyone here to reach out in your communities to the kids. You don't have to be a teacher...just someone who cares. You don't even have to give your time on a frequent basis (although that would be wonderful). If all of us would do this kind of thing one time, it could make a huge difference!
