Thanks AZ'ers Around The World

Since I've joined AZ I've been using it to match up with other players around the world. Some AZ'ers have gone out of their way to show me a great time, and the match-ups have always been fun.

When I was in Manila the first time, Bandido showed me around town, and took me to some very interesting places.

In Hawaii last year, Cuebuilder showed me his cue shop, took my Mom & I out to dinner, and we had a great time on the table.

Creedo met me in Waterville Maine to play some 9-Ball when I was in town after last Xmas.

In March, Zed9 picked me up in Rome, took me to one of the best rooms in town, and delivered me to a friends house for dinner that night.

On Koh Samui, Thailand a couple months ago GoBrian77 gave me a discount at his resort, took 5 of us out for dinner, and played me almost every day at his house while I was on the island.

Last week, Tate lined up a ring game in Hollywood, and took me to a great restaurant on Sunset Blvd.

Thanks to all of you for going out of your way to make my visits something special.

I've also played Jazz in Bangkok and Bamadog, omgwtf, and Melissa Morris in L.A., and met Vahmurka at the WPC in Manila. Sorry if I'm forgetting anyone.

I'm home for the summer, but will resume international travel in the Fall. I enjoy cheap 9-Ball, and hope to match up with more AZ'ers wherever you are.

Thanks Tate.

I almost forgot Jeeves, who hosted a fantastic party at last years Valley Forge Expo. It was the most fun thing at the show. I hope he can do it again.

This is a great resourse for sure. I'm glad you have the ability to do so much travel. Have fun and enjoy it!

Great to meet you as well- still trying to recover from the beating.:p

Hopefully we can hook up at the WPC in November (if a venue is ever announced:rolleyes: ).

I haven't been to New Orleans in years. When I get back, I'll bring my cue.

Brian,
Take some lessons from the guy I recommended in Bangkok. Maybe then you'll get me next time?

As for the WPC, I'm going to try to make it, but I have a conflict with the original dates. I may only be able to see the first few days. Hope to see you there.

Thanks again for a great time in Samui.

Nice thread.

I haven't met so many of the az'ers, but the few I have met have always been friendly to me.

Sounds like you are enjoying your travelling!

When you pass by Hong Kong sometime in the future. PM in advance and we can show you around.

I'm gonna give him a call the next time I'm in Bangkok, but there's no way I could hope to match your "misspent youth" at the table.:D

Hopefully the WPC deal is resolved soon.

Will Do

I haven't been to Hong Kong for a few years. I'll make it back one of these days. The pool scene looks like its grown since I was there last.

Cuaba, I don't know at the moment if I'm going to visit 9-ball or 10-ball WPC but if I manage to be at the same place with you I'm sure we will communicate more than some three minutes we had in Manila.

Update

Since I last posted on this thread I've met & played a few more AZ'ers.

Last month I played Dynamite (world 10-Ball champ Darren Appleton) at Sports Academy in Bangkok. He is a great guy with a monster game.

A few weeks later I played Monto P2 at his home in Chiang Mai. Him and his wife were great hosts.

Last week I played Fatboy at his palace in Vegas. He was also a great host. Max Eberle was there as well, and we played for more hours than I can count. Max is one of the nicest and classiest players in the sport.

I'm only home for 4 days, then I'm off to Maine. I'm supposed to match up with Mongoose and I'm looking forward to it.

Hope to meet & play more of you in my travels. Sorry I'll miss the D.C.C.

When are you gonna be back in town? You're overdue for a trip to Samui.

I'll be back in Thailand in 3 months, but Samui is pretty hot in April.

I bought another South West today, ebony points into Pau Ferro and ivory ferrules, it plays great. Built in 98, I'll bring it with.

I need to spend a few weeks in Samui some time. Right now it's about zero, too hot is sounding good.

Cool- bring it. I'm guessing you didn't leave the 18oz. SW (I wouldn't have left it either).

Yeah, it's pretty damned hot here in April- it's been unseasonably cool the last few weeks though (coldest it's been in twenty years- it went down into the 60's a couple of nights:p ).

Looking forward to it here as well Cuaba. Looks like you have a lot of stories to tell and by our pvt msgs sounds like we will have a good game and a great time. If we was in the spring. summer, or fall season here I would hook you up with some fresh off the boat Maine lobsta as that is what I do here. Unfortunaly the boat is on the bank until spring. Have a safe trip in and we will get in contact next week.
