Thank you Tar for another great PPV. What's next? Get any match ups for the TAR studio while you are/were there? Johnnyt

Ditto, that was one of the best finals I've seen, nail biter for sure. In fact I'm watching it again on the replay. Great job TAR (especially the replays) and sponsors.

It was a good event. Quite a few players playing very well. It would have been nice to have Dennis in the 8 ball though. With the run that guys been on its hard to believe he wouldn't have figured out a way to be in the last two days.

I'm curious about something though. If you guys watch and enjoy a NFC football game do you write a letter thanking fox?

I very well might come off like a jerk, but the entire event was $80. I'm pretty sure that says thank you the best.

I appreciate the people who take the time to say thank you very much. Why would it bother you if someone does it? Letting sponsors know people are paying attention is a good thing.

Pool is a small world. Its not the NFL. A little courtesy goes a long way and it is appreciated.

Dennis Orcollo went to Columbia for the world games.

As for the NFL, I haven't seen a full game in 10+ years, but have to admit never written FOX to thank them for watching, although to be fair, I never had to PPV to watch a football game, so I really don't think we can compare the two organizations as such (apples to oranges).

However, to let you know, I remember the days pre-TAR, non-streaming days. And I will take any opportunity to support and promote TAR as I appreciate the benchmark that have set, maintain and continue to improve upon. I've even purchased a red TAR t-shirt and carried it to the summit of Mount Rainier http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=328432, thus, I may be a bit biased because I love billiards sports. I have seen just about every TAR match they've streamed and will continue to support such with my dollars and opinion. :)

Yeah, it's always nice to hear and you deserve to hear it. I too, really enjoyed the show. Thanks Justin. Keep it coming. Good stuff!

I agree I always let them know how much I appreciate the streams and ppvs because the quality is exceptionally high, the prices are reasonable, and without it watching great pool would be hard to come by. This event was no exception. I loved watching the 8 ball.

I have thought about you taking that shirt to Mt Rainer several times over the last couple years. Especially after Nasty died and I was thinking about the different things that stuck in my mind when we were in the beginning of this thing. That has always stuck with me as one of the coolest things I have seen since we started TAR.

I dont know what the next PPV or event will be but when it happens if you will email me (I will forget because I have the memory of a senile gnat) and let me know your info its on me. Thank you for all of the support over the years.

Quite the generous offer sir, that I'd gladly (and will) take you up on that offer. By the way what I really desire, is to purchase a 3 pack of your TAR patches. I looked on your website and could not find them no longer. Is there any you have laying around I could purchase? If so, please PM me with details to purchase them.

Best customer service! Thanks again TAR!

What about Mark G...I noticed that everyone and his mama showed up at the end of the 8-ball to take a photo etc? Where is Mark? Oh yah he's doing the tough part. Writing checks.

p.s. Thanks Mark.

According to the following...Mark is part owner of TAR, thus included in the thanks:

"TAR is made up of three partners. Chad Pollman of Sioux Falls, SD. and myself were the founding partners. We had two businessmen from Sioux Falls buy in early on. They were Chuck Moss and Jason Froeling. They were instrumental in the foundation and initial growth of TAR. Mark Griffin of CSI then bought Jason and Chuck out and TAR now consists of Chad, Mark and myself."

I believe that is the best big table 8-ball ever captured on video. I also feel the CSI format of big table 8-ball used in this event is the best way for pool to have a chance to gain more viewers and thus potential sponsors. It's something the "average Joe" can understand.

Thank you to CSI and TAR for a great series of events! Hopefully there is couple thousand people like me thinking the same thing. Lets keep this momentum of great TAR matches going! With more support and PPV buys it will only keep getting better.

I will just say. This event was the first time I have purchased anything from TAR. Shameful for me because I've loved what they are doing and how they have been doing it from the beginning. I've just been a combination of hella busy and not too much cash to really ever be able to sit down and enjoy a stream before this last week.

So I got the SVB - Earl match and the one pocket finals. I loved it. I thought the commentary was great. The pool was great (though the 1-hole finals were a tad long :) ) and the camera angles and streaming quality were top notch. If I worked 9-5 I would watch these events all the time. As it is I work almost every weekend and a lot of evenings and I don't have much time at all to watch anything. Haven't even had tv in my house for 6 years now!

So thanks for doing all you do JCIN and thanks for putting out a quality product. I look forward to watching many more.

People wouldn't believe what Mark went through the last couple months to get the 2013 Nationals to come off as well as they did. Take my word for it...it has been nuts. The whole CSI and Bad Boys crew were amazing. From having to load in almost two days later than initially told by the hotel to losing power in the middle of event with close to 300 tables going and having to get the schedule back on track.

Two guys who also get thanks from me are Andy Chen and Tim Wampler. They are the guys who ran the day to day stream for the week allowing me to work on things for the future and handle all the customer service and PPV set up.

Its wild to see all the challenges that something this big presents to a promoter. Most people really do not believe what it takes. Personally I wouldn't do it. I don't know too many who would. I'm just glad Mark chooses to.

Start naming all the events that happened at the Rio in the last two weeks. Mark had his hand in the details of all of them.

And every single check was good.

Jeez man. Whats wrong with thanking someone for their efforts. Some people will find faults with just about everything.

This was one of the best events I have ever seen. Back to back US opens with great players from different countries. Couldn't ask for more.

I think TAR crew needs to make every effort to get Biado in a TAR race to 100 the next time he is here.

Sometimes you just want to show your appreciation with more than money. I have written to companies big and small to thank them for a great product or service well after I paid for it. It's always worth remembering that people work at these companies and they appreciate it when they are told they have done a particularly good job.

And really? $80 for 10 days of coverage, the live portion of which was 8-10 hours or more a day, is not nearly thanks enough. Buy one UFC PPV and it's over in a few hours and you're out what $60 or more?

Pool streaming is the cheapest entertainment there is outside of the usual AZB drama.

If the extra price is a thank you and a compliment then it's more than worth it. So thanks Justin and crew. Another well done event in the books!

I was actually asking a question. I've told JCIN that he's done a good job in the past. The only one who answered the question was JB Cases.

I had a grandmother who has written her local McDonald's owner that they've had great service.
Honestly I'm not one of these type people, but I kind of find it interesting.

I just wanted to know if people thanking JCIN were doing so because its pool, or if they are the same people who thank companies throughout their lives. I promise you fox gets letters thanking them for the nfl.
Ppv is different. I could have asked if you thank the UFC after a good fight, but I went with the popular sport. I don't see where the broadcasters revenue stream makes it different. If think if anything people would be more thankful of JCIN if he were able to find sponsers to cover the cost, and he were to stream it free...

I write amateur restaurant reviews and am a twitter users. While I may not write letters to companies because it's no longer 1987 I will often give compliments to restaurants via my food blog and via twitter for exceptional food and or service. This is actually a very common occurrence for a lot of people on Twitter. It's a way for many companies to directly interact with consumers to provide better service. When a company provides an exceptional service/product that outdoes their competitors I let them know. TAR is in that group.

Thanks Justin and all the TAR crew for doing an amazing job! It was nice meeting you Justin. Hopefully we can get Danny O. some air time on the TV table in a finals match against Shane one day. Till next time...keep up the great work. That setup this year at the BCA for the pro arena was the nuts! Amber and I will definitely be there again next year.

At the ready,
Michael

Mark and his crew has once again has proven that they are class acts with the way all of the events were run, and everybody got paid too lol ! Justin and his team did a really great job also on the stream, I feel privliged to get to work with these guys ! "jus sayin" !!!
