That Chang Jung Lin guy

Happy for Chang. I watched him come in second three times in big tournaments in the last couple of years when he lost to Shaw, Filler and Shane.

I watched him run 10 racks of 9 Ball on You Tube to win a match. He is always professional acting in his matches. He is well deserving of this recent victory.

Big congrats to him and I look forward to many more years of his excellent play!

I don't think those guys are lining up to play CJL for serious cash.
He's a machine.

I really liked one comment about him...
...he’s the closest I’ve seen to Buddy Hall....since Buddy Hall

JL Chang is a magnificent player, the best in the world in the eyes of more than a few, and I'm darned if I'm gonna argue with any of them.

He seems to be stoic at times, but he comes out of his shell sometimes, too. He's a likable guy, not just a superstar at the table.

Wishing him continued success.

JLC seems to do well in Norfolk. His last 3 trips to Norfolk netted a 2nd, 4th and 1st place finish.

Chang has been the best player in Taiwan for more than a decade, I dont think any player have been able to maintain that status.

He made Biado look inferior in a recent money game in Taipei.

Go Amertican

How I wish he could get American citizenship, he would be a huge boost to the U.S. Mosconi team. Why not, how many countries does Team Europe represent? Well that depends on the year and who has the hot stick!

Sky was phenomenal this year, I like Bergman to be in the team also

i just wish the cup to expand to North America and the team will have Morra and Alex

A real beast. When I first saw him in 07 playing the Guiness 9 ball tour in asia i could not believe what I was seeing.

back then pretty much efren and the pinoy contingent were dominant up to that point and then there was a nine-tournament streak where they all went to the taiwanese. three were won by Yang Ching Shun, who back then was still showing why efren regarded him as the best player to never win the world 9 ball title.

The other six of course, was this upstart called chang jung lin. he neither had the flair nor the finesse of the filipinos, but whenever he was at the table, you always had the feeling that he was never going to make a mistake, never going to miss, and by the end stages of the match, he was never going to lose.

I 'hated' him back then because he always took out my heroes in the tourneys but eventually i became a huge admirer of his mental strength and consistency. so many players have arguably better skills but so few are able to manage themselves to his level.

i was actually rooting for little ko in this tourney because i was hoping he would break his duck and hopefully announce himself on the world stage – this little monster possibly has more potential than his brother – but AK Guy pointed out something i've forgotten: CJL had been playing bridesmaid in several major international tourneys already and perhaps this is the best outcome

He won the WPA World 8 Ball Championship in 2012, so he has won a major tournament before. This is perhaps his best win though.

As far as Little Ko, they say he is still improving and hasn't peaked yet. I'm thinking that he is like the Serena Williams of Pool and it's only a short time before bigger things happen, for him.

I wonder what's happened to little Ko #3? He would be about 18 or 19 now. A few years ago he was being touted as possibly the best of all three.
