FYI, I just posted a new video that demonstrates every type of pool shot possible in less than 10 minutes! The goal is to quickly show the wide range of creative shots that help make this game so great. The focus is on shots possible in 8-ball.

The Video Encyclopedia of Pool Shots (VEPS) has 750 shots in 50 categories! So there. :geek:

I did my best to choose the 100 most important shot types in this video.

FYI, many of Ray's "99 critical" shots are specific to straight pool and don't really apply to 8-ball or 9-ball. For more info, see this video (especially the last section):

If you guys want some good skills practice, try to recreate all 100 shots. I certainly learned a lot (and improved some of my skills) while filming this. I will also have more confidence when I face these shots in future game situations.

Thanks for the work you do compiling mountains of data for us bangers.
It already takes me forever to get through Bert's workout with only 20something shots.
Not sure I can stay awake long enough to practice 10zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You can do one section at a time, maybe after a Mountain Dew or Red Bull. :geek:

Can you guys think of other shot types I didn't include but maybe should have? I have been putting together a list for a follow-up video. I already have about 15 additional shot types, but I would like to see what you guys come up with.

The only one I can think of are jump shots where you have to hit a ball in the air or roll over top of it. Not supper common but can come up. It's more of a trick shot but sometimes... :)

I cover frozen rail cut shots (45-47) in the Sidespin section, but maybe I should have had a simple frozen rail cut shot in the first section.
