WOW! I'm not sure who you are but I realy appreciate the kind words. I have received a lot of positive feedback from the first event and just a couple negative comments. I am taking all of the comments very seriously. Both negative comments regarded the live stream. On the first day, the camera was inadvertently set on autofocus. That issue was corrected on the 2nd day. Secondly, people wanted to see the scores on the screen rather than following the live chat for updates. I am addressing that issue as well and I am almost 100% sure that we will have that capability before the July 9-10 tournament at Midlothian.
I just want all of the players to know that I take this very seriously, The Action Pool Tour is not going away, and with your help, we will get larger and larger as time passes. I can't wait to see you in Midlothian!
PS: Whoever you are, thank you again for the kind words. I will try to live up to them at every event.
Ozzy, Levi is Rick Molineiro, the owner of Big Daddy's Billiards in Glen Burnie, MD. He is the
sexy bastard in your photo from the Top Hat tourney (on the right).
You should pay a visit to his room sometime.
He has seven Diamonds and eight Brunswicks.
His pool room is practically spotless.
There are two sets of bathrooms and they are also spotless.
The tuna salad, chicken salad and pork BBQ sandwiches are all home-made by his wife, Cindy.
I have been running monthly 9B tourneys there since September 2010 and have had full fields for each one (32-player limit).
Rick also hosts the Maryland 14.1 Championships, which is run by the Grand-Daddy of Straight Pool...Peter Burrows.
You should definitely include Big Daddy's in your list of venues. Most of the area players know it.
Of course, you can always call Rick at (410.760.1332)...or you're welcome to call me at 410.804.2290.
I too have heard nothing but great things about your event.
In fact the only complaint I heard was having an alternate-break format.
Since I work in IT, I pay close attention to the use of social media, and the Web in general...to promote events, and your website, along with its management...is very impressive.
I sincerely hope I can make the Midlothian event. I am a lower-level player, so it is quite a hike for me when I have little chances of finishing in the money, but there is a 50% chance I will show, because it's your event, and because I have never been to Midlothian before.
Wishing you great success...
