Looking for some new reading and was considering The Art Of One Pocket by Booth. My question, is it worth the $70 asking price? Yes? No? Thoughts?

I have A Game of Controlled Agression by Wirth and of course the 2 Holy Grails Winning One Pocket and Shots Moves and Strategies.

i have not finished reading the whole book but i think it is very well written and presented
alot to learn in there
of course based on your current level of knowledge
i always feel if i get a nugget or two or three from a book its worth its price

Steve Booth has been around 1P for a long time and owns onepocket.org. I have the members edition on order and I’m sure there will me some good nuggets in there. I don’t think it’s a go to book for 1P knowledge but should be a valuable read for 1P affectionado’s

Anyone who doesn’t get this book right now will be kicking themselves just like those that hesitated on WOP and SMS.

This book might become known as TAO. Might be fitting.

I'll send out two books -- one book to someone who is interested in One Pocket but isn't really a One Pocket player -- yet. And the other book to someone who is a One Pocket player.

Whoever is interested, please nominate yourself and let me know which camp you most fit, and I will pick two of you.

Thank you!

Thats very gracious of you. i would like to be a one pocket player but most of my experience is playing the ghost or 8 ball players. I used to skip watching it thinking it was boring, but after getting in to it all of a sudden watching 9 ball seemed boring.

best game there is, i hope to find a sparring partner soon.

Isn't that member here , Lou something or other , a 1 pocket player. He always lets the other members know just how smart he is , he would be a good candidate.😉

lol, who could that be?!

I’ve already paid for a copy and it’s probably sitting at a neighbor’s who is watching for mail and packages, as Gail and I are wrapping up a week long visit to Mexico City. We’ll be home tomorrow and I’m looking forward to taking a peek and writing a review.

Keith McCready received the book, and here's what he had to say on Facebook: "Thank you, Steve Booth, for this book, 'The Art of One Pocket.' It's a fantastic read and should be in everybody's pool library. I'm a quarter of the way through. I love the pictures the way the book is laid out. What a great way to learn, study, and enjoy the game of one pocket."

I like to call myself a student of One Pocket and would love to read and review the book if I were chosen. Thank you for the offer.

Yes, but since he bought one, two spots are still available 😁

Lou is perfect though, because you know he’s going to put thought into it and get to the gist!

If you have not yet bought the book, you can consider your hat in the ring too, for a free copy on me as long as you would be willing to read it and submit a thoughtful review here.

I'll pick two AZ regulars out of this thread for a freebie review copy in the next day or so.
