just wanted to say, recently i tried a product that was so fantastic, that i had to post about it, although this is where i found out about it. the product is slip stic which could be found at www.slipstic.com this shaft cleaning product is by far the greatest shaft cleaning product ever. not only does it make your shaft clean as a whistle, but nothing, and i mean NOTHING can ever effect it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not dirt, powder, heat nor humidity, NOTHING! put 2 drops!!!! on and it's good for a month!!! now if every product could work this well, we would be living in the perfect world! slip stic made my game go up two full notches, because now, i could just let my stroke go, without worrrying about "what's that horrible feeling on my shaft?" feeling.

Are you using both the cleaner and the conditioner?

Bernie, are you female? I thought you were male from what you and others have posted. I do know a female Bernie though (Bernadette).

Ronoh,
Please change your avatar. It makes me cringe every time I see it.

Is it just me?

Do you think that your picture is easy on the eyes? I noticed you like to insult people on how they look. You have a huge head and your face looks like a plastic surgeon worked on you while on LSD.

Personally, I like the slip stic product, but have decided it is too expensive for what it accomplishes. The cleaner I find is nothing special at all. I think one of the best all around products products for clean the shaft while at the same time reducing friction is believe it or not "Rain-x".
IMO, you sound like your shilling for Pete, but you may just be an enthusiastic person.

I cringe when someone posts 'cause it has been posted so much. But I do appreciate what Bernie had to say.

Anyway SlipStic Conditioner is expensive to manufacture, but if used correctly it does last for a long time. The cleaner was meant to be a surface layer cleaner only that leaves no residue behind. Our interests was to especially remove the waxes and polishes that end up on peoples cue shafts they pick up from the table. We did not want to cause any potential harm to the cue shaft.

About polishes, you might want to check out the web site at www.slipstic.com. The smooth you get from rainx is very temporary. You are better off putting nothing on your cue, just a conditioner as many professional cue makers do. These polishers and slickers in a short period produce much more tackiness as they mix with the moistures around you, and then become very tacky and are grit magnets. At first application they seem smooth and slick. Lots of products, whether meant or not, will create slickness. (even mayonnaise - I like this one). Next time you plan to put a product on your cue shaft, test it out first. Wipe it on your hands and wait about an hour or two. Most likely you will feel the tackiness which is exactly what ends up on your cue shaft.

SlipStic is a conditioner with properties that enable it to be very slick and to repel grit. It contains no moisture and mixes with none either. The purpose of this conditioner is to protect the cue shaft's natural feel and at the same time you do not need to sand, burnish or use slickers. You do not have to screw around with your cue shaft for a whole month.

At the least put nothing on your cue shaft and keep your hands clean.

pete, this product is nothing short of a miracle. not only does it work, but better than any other product out there, including other billiard products such as chalk, racks etc. now, if someone can come up with a cue tip that performs, like your slip stic, you'd see the game of pool go up 80%!!!!!!!

I don't think I've seen so many unanimous testimonials on these forums and pretty much all over the internet, so I just placed my order for the conditioner and cleaner on pooldawg. I've been using the mr. clean magic eraser to clean my shaft (I've been doing this dry), but I think chalk/dirt is so engrained that it's not really doing much anymore. How should I go about prepping my pretty dirty cue before I use slipstic?

i use Q-clean, followed by rubbing alchohol, followed by slipstic, wait 15 mins. then rub very lightly with a soft cotton towel, i use a product called whispers, it's used to remove ladies make up and is VERY gentle. the rubbing alchohal is to protect the shaft, and when applying the slip stic, use only 2 to 3 drops on your fingers, and rub lightly into the shaft, then wait 15 mins. before rubbing once or twice lightly with the softest cotton you could find, the result is extrodinary, no screwing with your shaft for a month, no towels, no sandpaper, no nothin!!! it's not effected by dirt, humidity or anything!!! no fussing, just the slipperiest surface for a month!

Slipstic sure does make it slippery. I tried to do a slip stroke using an open bridge, and my cue was so smooth I launched my cue like a javelin across the table and right thru the chest of my opponent. I won the match by default because he died. Thank you Slipstic!

So I was playing some noob a set for $500 and I was givin him the 4-out because hes a noob and I'm like quadruple A and it was double hill and he was down on the 9-ball and I started doing the macarena. He got mad and said stop dancing so I was like whatever its a free country and he got down on the ball again and just then I remembered this awesome scene from starwars so I started swing my friggin awesome cuetech at a chair and hitting the leg really hard because my friggin awesome cuetech pwnz chairs and my friggin awesome cuetech wont even get a scratch. So he said wtf are u doing and I was like whatever man just cuz ur a noob u are scared to shoot cuz ur a noob and ur gonna miss anyways so just shoot. I can do the macarena whenever I want thats part of the geneva invention. man I hate noobs they are jerks.

Slipstic hardly needs any more endorsements here, I think all who have used it here, and many have, have given favorable reviews.

I could live without it, but I'm glad I have it. Saves me from regularly wiping the cue.

Anyone who takes their game and equipment seriously should add it to their list of 'need to have'. Cost works out to less than a buck a month if you use it according to recommendations which seems to work well.
