I shoot in the BCA with Rick Howard and I see his cues first hand, solid work, beautiful crafstmanship and they hit a ton.
I totally agree, the Mace is one of the Best No-nonsense Jump Breaks
EVER MADE!!!!!!! Ricks taper is pretty unique on his Mace, and this taper is what makes the cues strong, even though they are thin in the Butt!!!
Here, is a little History for those who may be interested: Rick Howard played on the Pro-tour from the 1970's to the 1980's and he was truly a Great Player. Rick decided to make cues in the Mid-1980's, when he built and began marketing the Mace Jump-Break,
WHICH WAS THE FIRST true Jump-Break cue made.
Rick also makes some very nice Custom Playing cues, and he is a great person to deal with. Now normally I would not promote any cue on this or any other forum because we all know that everything is subjective to the individual. However, the construction techniques used by Rick and his taper / design are very special and very effective,
THIS IS NOT HYPE I do not believe in making blatant statements that are based on Bias, or anything else.
But I speak what I believe to be true, and my reputation clearly shows that, I do not follow the party line good or bad. I come from the old school where if everyone is agreeing and bobbing their heads no one is really thinking.
No disrespect intended!!!!!
