The Best Cash Game Player From the US

I dont think SVB plays on his own dime....

VERY VERY FEW do.

Ken

He does very frequently actually. He has put 20k of his own money up before which is a lot more than most players do.

He does have stake horse as well, but Shane will definitely bet his own since he has it.

People keep saying SVB but I'm betting on Tony or Scott (deifnitely Tony, not sure how Scott has been playing lately) when it comes to One Pocket. I'm definitely gonna bet on SVB in a big money match most of the time unless its one pocket.

Not even Dennis OFoolio is gonna mess with these two killers.

I'd like to see Shane play one of the following in 1p, Alex, Scott, or Dennis.

Seems like he wont play Alex or Scott now unless he's getting weight.

2x DCC 1p champion, but he wants weight??

Wow! I had not heard that. You're right, does seem kinda odd???

gxman...Link please, to proof that SVB said he needs weight, or you're talking out the other side of you know what. I have never heard of Shane asking for weight from anyone.

Not sure of Alex but remember Facebook post between Frost/SVB where SVB wanted weight, don't remember exactly what it was but definitely something. Probably 12-18 months ago (guessing).

Playing one pocket for the cash I'll take Alex the loin any day he's got a lot of heart and he'll put up his own money. But 10 ball it's hard to go against Svb.

Don't think you'd want to bet on Alex's loin, unless you're betting it's the smallest in the whole place! Lol

It really isn't that odd. Shane's strength in one pocket comes from his ability to run 8 and out often. In short races he is able to beat many players based on running balls.

Playing a long gambling match against top players he won't have as many opportunities to run 8 and out. The longer matches favor players who move better than he does.

I think the edge that one player has over another playing for the cash is over rated. There are many good players who excel at playing for the money. Most of the players have to get staked. One who plays for his own all the time will have the edge in large cash matches. Does that bring anyone to mind?

Not saying it's not true it's just hard to imagine Shane asking for weight from anyone that's all.
