Hi,

I did check out the website before posting. There is little information, I didn't see any testing, or videos. All I saw was the body of the page, and a pre purchase here link.

It's hard to justify spending a few hundred on just that. That was all I was saying.

The SURE SHOT shaft was a journey that its designer Rob Paul of BOSS Cues started a little more than 3 years ago when he set out to make his mark on the billiard industry by designing and building the most accurate and user friendly cue shaft in the world. We believe he has done just that. Made from 100% all natural and NON laminated hard rock maple this shaft has none of the inherent problems that seem to crop up with lamination. Now while lamination is used by some to strengthen shafts, the SURE SHOT shaft has its strength coming from within. For 19" strategically placed within the shaft is a solid 1/4" carbon fiber rod. Not only does this strengthen the shaft but provides for an unparalleled hit and feel while maintaining straightness. Ask most any cue maker and they will tell you that working on and repairing laminates can be a night mare and to the end user more expensive. Infused into the "business end" of the SURE SHOT shaft is a proprietary, and patent pending, technology that Rob calls A.S.A.T. (anti squirt assist technology). "In a nut shell", says Paul, "the ASAT allows the ferrule and tip to, on a micro level, get out of the way of the cue ball when English is applied to the hit". Paul went on to explain that the magic happens inside the shaft. "The ferrule is seated (also called floating) within a business secret compression foam that acts as regulator for the ferrule. When English is applied and the ferrule moves out of the way a bit then the lower half of the ferrule compresses up against the regulator foam and only allows for a pre determined amount of movement. The result is a consistent and straight hit every time". Most people are used to some squirt, perhaps more than they know, so learning to shoot with this shaft does take a little getting used to...yeah its that straight. Just know this, aim straight stroke straight shoot straight.

The product is new to the market there are no videos or testimonials because nobody has is yet. As a pool player who like using unique products that a different from the main stream i felt i would be doing a disservice by not bringing this product forward with my best effort. All i can say is try it and you will see What a truly great product it is. If you were at SBE this year you may have even tried it out.

will not be an issue pm me and we can discuss details

Best LD in which way? is it best because it has the lowest deflection ever? or what. I'm just curious of which category did you choose to call it best, but goodluck with the new product, I like the colors of the brand btw :)

Feel is the only way I can describe it

You may want to consider a way for players here to give this shaft a try. Perhaps get a signup list of forum members and send a shaft out to the group, their responsibility would be to try out the shaft, report back and then send the shaft out to the next member on the list.

This was done successfully a number of years ago with another LD shaft that was coming out on the market place.
