Not sure about "any pool hall", but I just double checked and extensions are legal in both BCApl and APA.
Why wouldn't a pool hall allow an extension?
I really don't know, my info came from a pro player that wouldn't have a reason to lie
but I guess he could of been wrong. He seemed very adamant though but who
knows.
Thing about hearsay spread on public forums is that it fosters issues with sponsors. If the guy cutting checks is told that people are saying the player he sponsors is not even playing with his equipment then it causes distrust at best and firing at worst.
Shane told the story about his cuetec on the last TAR podcast. It was given to him before his sponsorship with cuetec.
Shane could play with anything he wanted. In this case it has nothing to do with the arrow. He likes the cue and I'm sure he like the paycheck. Besides that's not what this thread is about.

I understand. When we sponsored players with Fury cues, when I worked for Sterling, I hated to hear that the players were using other equipment. Rodney Morris was picked up as a sponsored player at the Super Billiards Expo. He picked a cue off the wall and came in second to Johnny Archer hill/hill at the Player's Championship in 2003 iirc.
Some people just don't want to believe that there are damn good playing cues coming out of China right now. And for brand Cuetec which I don't sell or have anything to do with it can't be denied that players using them have won more tournaments than any other single brand. The R-360 actually does hit really well.
Come to this side of the world and you wont see much of Predator, or lucasi let alone the more expensive custom cues.
Most people are playing with those Chinese cues. The really advanced players will be holding a Cuetec or a Player in their hand. Only the very top Pros and the Sponsored ones will be holding a Predator cue.
The biggest thing is the price, why pay for a $900 cue when a $100 cue can do the same job just as good?

Heck, folks don't even want to believe there are damn damn good playing cues out of Wisconsin, like Jacoby and Schmelke, for example. Very well made cues....just add the tip of your choice, and off you go. Won't go up in value, but you won't play any worse, and these days, no many cues seem to bring the bucks anyways
There is always gonna be a market for collectible/custom cues, but nobody actually needs one to play pool well....
Heck if my wife ever wants to start playing I'm going to get her one of these. That's a great value. Same for anyone else on my APA team that is looking to upgrade their cue for not a lot of money. They're even Prime eligible!

#1 - because you can.
i tried the r360 out several times (a teammate owns one). it does play good, its spins the cueball extremely easy.
the only thing i didnt like: they are too soft
i dont like most of the cuetec designs :grin:

I guess a lot of top players can't play in your home room. Johnny Archer has about a 2' extend as do many more. I guess Earl can't play there either with his 64" cue. I'll bet jump cues are allowed though. Johnnyt
