Repairing a new cue if possable would still leave a repaired cue with issues. The loss would be probably make repairs and resale a loosing proposition. The new shafts and handle and retapperand refifish to the but and rewrap cost would be prohibitive. The cue would have $4000 in it and sell for $1200.00 to $1700 and it's construction would not be origional. So I see a resale at the lower end because there would be disclosure.
The butt is straight enough to have value maybe 1/3 it's origional value to me. Minus the $500 for the shafts I see $700.00 sitting there.
I would rather call it a wash. No pun intened.
The cue has been drying out on my pooltable under a heating vent(heat pump). My heart really isn't in destroying this cue especially because it was on Timi's web page at one time.
It's kind of like if I wrecked my anniversery Z28 Camaro would Ibuy it back from the insurance company for the LT 350? I would have to think about it.
I just roller the cue and it is sad to say the butt warps a little more every day. The shafts are definately gonners.
