Dear everybody,

As of today we start with the website for the European Pool Championships.

Go and have a look on:

www.europeanpoolchampionships.com

Note that this website is a bit empty at the moment but the closer we get to the tournament the more information will be put on it. So have a look once in a wile and put it as a bookmark on your computer.
During the tournament we will have life scoring and updates so if you are not able to come over to this event (you need very a good reason for not coming) you can still have a good view on the matches and medals.

Regards,

The EPC team

Thanks, hopefully we have the players profiles soon then the website will look even better!!

Thanks, Berry. I'd be grateful if you were to explain how the Women's European Championships figures in the selection of Europe's entrants to the WPA Women's World Championships. For example, I'm sure I wasn't the only one that found it curious that WPBA #6 Helena Thornfeldt (who spent most of the past few years ranked in the WPBA top 4) was not exempt into the main draw of the last event. She had to qualify, while far weaker playing Europeans such as Line Kjorsvik and Ulrika Andresson did not.

Just looking for an education here, not trying to be controversial.

Thanks Berry, look out for Sander Tot in the nine ball division he's been on fire as of late.

Thanks Berry for the link !!

Within 24 hours I'll know better if I'm in. I'm going to have my first match on the last crucial Finnish ranking event in... 9 hours. Better get some sleep ! :)

I'll let you know tomorrow, if there's going to be at least one AzB poster playing there. ;)

@ sjm, will get back on that. but give me some time ;)

At Mjantti, good luck to you and to the balls..... hopefully we meet again and this time you can get you revance to Alex Lely and Niels Feijen, although I will support them...

Hope to see you there!!!

And we alway's look out for Sandor Tot but first lets see how he plays at the Eurotours as he was doing good buisiness last year.

Have a nice weekend ya'll

Berry

I'm in !

Hey Berry and others ! I made it to the European Championships ! After all the 7 ranking events, I finished on the top of Finnish ranking and thus granting me a place to EC 2005 ! Top 2 ranked had a secure place in EC. The other one to qualify through rankings was Stefan Sellberg. Mika Immonen has already confirmed his European Champs entry, which makes us a group of 3 already. Two more spots to be announced soon.

Couldn't be more happier since I moved up to the top 32 players' league first time this year ! And already in Finnish national team !!

Berry and others ! I'll see you in Veldhoven !! :D

Great news, Mikko. Congratulations.

To those who are interested, the Finnish team in the European Champs: Mika Immonen, Marko Lohtander, Markus Juva, Stefan Sellberg and me. The 4 other players have played in wpc 2004 so a lot of experience and firepower there ! :)

Mikko , have you qualified for the nine ball event, the straight pool event, or what?

Umm, actually I don't know yet. I think Finland has received a total of 12-13 spots for 8-ball, 9-ball and 14.1. There are 5 players so some players can play in all 3 events and some in only 2 events. But none is sent for only one event. I think I'll be playing in only 2 events but I'm still happy and it doesn't really matter what events I play in.

congratulations

Mikko: Congratulations! I hope you get to play in all events.
The books are in, the vids are copied and should go out soon. I'm going to ask George Fels to autograph his book for you tonight at league. Best Wishes, Dennis

Thanks, Dennis ! I'll use your material to perfect my straight pool skills and to the dismay of Berry, I will dethrone Niels in the 14.1 event :p Well...

Mikko,

Are there any other players on this forum that would qualify for the European Pool Championships?
