The exact aiming system

I'm not sure why no one ever thought of this before. It's so simple.

Find the spot on the OB closest to the pocket. Mirror that spot through the CB/OB centers. Line up the inside edge of the cueball on that spot. Shoot 1/2 tip outside english, you'll get center pocket. Works every time, every shot, every angle, every distance, every speed. I ran 3 racks just trying it out. The really interesting thing is that throw/deflection seem to have little effect. It's like a built-in auto-correction. Give it a try, you'll be amazed.

[edit] 1/2 tip is only to compensate for side-spin, center ball gets you exactly on the ghost ball. Use english where necessary, however I found the 1/2 tip to work reliably to the pocket on virtually every shot angle I tried. I don't have a technical explanation, just what I experienced at the table.

See, with your system -- you're shooting at invisible shit. Maybe you need something like SpiderSight(tm) to give you a concrete visual reference?

Did you try it? The thing is that it's not really invisible. You are using the pocket for your lineup, the opposite angle is simple to see when you're at the table.

What if I need inside english to get shape?

Once you have the shot lined up, you can use BHE to adjust the shot. It will not make any difference to pocketing the ball! The 1/2 tip of english is to make up for shot-induced sidespin. It's not really necessary for straight-in or thinly-cut shots, but it doesn't hurt because the minds-eye makes up for the angle of inflection. You don't really need to understand it, just know that it works without fail.

And what do you do when you use inside english to get shape off a rail? Kinda kills the every shot statement.

I just tried your system and it works for shots within 30 degrees. For steeper cuts, I find I have to use SpiderSight(tm) --- and that works perfectly, of course.

language barrier.....

I consider myself intelligent, but this description confuses me and I cannot picture what you mean when you say "Mirror that spot through the CB/OB centers" .... maybe you could describe this differently or provide a diagram?

Draw a line though the CB and OB, on through to the rail. Draw another line OB to pocket. That is the cut angle. Now find the same, opposite angle, mirrored on the CB/OB line.

Works for 45, 65, 85, I even tried a 95 and made it. Be sure to use some draw.

Before tomorrow I'd better let the cat out of the bag... April Fools! It is frightful how close that diagram turned out, however. I have not been to the table to prove or disprove this system, so use at your own risk :D
