I saw one of those videos and the shot went on the fourth try. Sure. I'd like to bet the next time we're near a table.
But sometimes lightning strikes. I have a trick shot that is basically a half-hour shot for me. I once made it on the second try.
Here it is right after the ball hits the back rail.

Maybe I'm wrong here. Was the OB disappearing and subsequent video editing apart of the fluke?

Indeed. I theorize an interdimensional fluke that bridged realms. Even the Gods are in disbelief.
I have not seen this one, I have seen the one where it goes all the way down the table on the rail to fall in the pocket but have not seen one that took a turn before the one I posted.
It bounced off a rail, which gives the cueball a bunch of speed, and it's rolling forward like a follow shot would do. I don't see anything odd in the video unless it's the result.
It's a low frame rate video, you would need to play it back at 15 or less to not have any jumps in the video. Either way, the few videos that Bob posted show very similar things have happened on a 12 foot table in match play.

low frame rate or not, there can be no frame where the ball just disappears.
it speeded just before 2nd cushion...
across the short rail i've seen many times, also along half the long rail to the middle pocket, but i don't recall ever seeing one going the full long rail and passing the middle pocket. but also how it picks up speed the last few feet is weird physics
I am pretty sure he was playing that.

The shot I was talking about is a shot off the spot at one pocket.
The "fluke" at 6:28 is the most offensive.
