The Great Pool Experiment Pool Reality Show.

John,
I think it’s a great idea. I've been watching all of Tor’s videos. The banking one has changed my game enough that team mates are truly impressed with my kicking/banking. I sent in my application when he first advertised the 14 day challenge. I have a full-time job and not much vacation so I can’t do the 14 days. He is also offering a shorter clinic, like 3 days, that I will be doing. Tor called me Sunday to get this tentatively setup for August or September Really looking forward to working out a few more kinks in my game.

Hey Bryan,
Thanks for your service to our country.

I also have all of Tor's videos.

As a 1P player the kicking video really caught my interest. The kicking video can also be expanded to some really good safety play.

If I am selected I have only 4 days per week available. One thing is bothering me though, I'm 66 years old and what I don't want to happen is to be selected thus taking away a spot for an up and coming undiscovered talent. You know what I mean?

Enjoy yourself and take plenty of notes.

John (USMC - 1964 - 1968) Semper Fi

I will be very eager to see the episode in which you'll appear Bryan, and thank you for your USAF service. Team members responsible to prepare materials for participants are already choosing their "favorites."

Watching the below participant with Tor in preliminary filming last week was indeed a glimpse of how truly great this show is going to be.

Objective: "I want to be the best shooter in the league. I want to be able to run tables and compete at a much higher level. I'm 36 years old and I have the drive to be the very best. I love to play pool and I want to be able to run racks more frequently, able to compete with the very best our town offers. One goal I've set for myself is to have my game strong enough to enter the Doc Hill tournament next spring."

My take: Dennis has great potential. After filming him running 3 sets of race to ten in ghost ball and analyzing the film footage, I identified and will correct all things necessary to provide him with strong fundamentals.

Dennis has several flaws in his fundamentals which have been preventing him from progressing in the past 15 years. Even though Dennis has played league for years and puts in practice time, his game is limited due to these flaws.

Using a customized stroke drill we will not only remove these flaws, but we'll give Dennis a consistent stroke that he can rely on. Then, we'll begin an intensive ball pocketing drill which involves not only pocketing balls, but shooting balls with english, speed control, position play, learning how to hit the center of the cue ball, and pocketing balls with english.

Finally, we'll cover problems Dennis has in 8 and 9 ball patterns. He'll learn how to simplify his position play by using angles and rails to move the cue ball around the table. One problem Dennis has is he tends to overuse english on position shots - we'll show him how to move the cue ball around the table using center, center low and center high.

Given his strengths and determination, I'd say to the Doc Hill Tournament, look for Dennis next spring. I also know if Dennis maintains his committed approach to this, he will be able to run racks consistently and compete at a much higher level! Watch for it pool world, here comes Dennis!

Thanks for the help and positive comments.

1012 views. Thanks to the AZB family

According to posts on the Zero-X Facebook page filming across the USA will take approx. one year due to the large number of cities being visited. I understand that a list of cities to be visited and the dates will be published soon.

I am would think that episodes filmed during that year will be made public. With Las Vegas possibly being the first to air.

Stay tuned. :groucho:

Hey BHR,

When this takes off I can see no reason why this adventure would not include Canada.

By the way, thanks for your support. You know what I mean.

Reads like Zero-X is heading to Wisconsin soon.

Posted from the Zero-X Facebook page with permission

Was just reminded that one participant in '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' from Madison, Wisconsin is only 14 years old, an unbelievably natural talent with huge potential. We'll be getting to him in plenty of time before he heads off to Junior Nationals! His pic. and other info. will be posted here later, along with a list of the other cities in Wisconsin in which we'll be filming! #14Days #PoolMonster

All of you Wisconsin players may want to get your applications in for selection on the Pool Reality Show.

Have a good day

Apparently you never watched any of the 10+ years of Survivor! There were plenty of 'not-so-attractive' people on those shows. You have to wonder if any of these "drills" are 'stolen' from Jimmy Reid.

Scott Lee
http://poolknowledge.com
what a jackass thing to say Mr. Lee.

Thanks BHR for your rebuttal below!

Really Scott?
Do you really want to dredge up old news that was never proven in the first place.

And then piss all over a perfectly good thread about Tor trying to do something good
For pool.

I thought you were better than that. Apparently not. Maybe the next thread you start, we should drop in and FK it up for you.

Thanks for the good wishes.

BTW. Did you invent everything you know and teach or perhaps some of your material is borrowed as well.

Sounds like a tiny bit of professional jealousy to me. Yes?

Can't make movies or teaching DVDs like Tor and his brother.
Penis feeling a bit small tonight perhaps?

Wasn't it you that was accused of teaching students while drunk. No, of course not. We shouldn't believe everything that we read on the Internet.

best of luck to all involved in this program!

Schedule Update

Face Book message from TOR below.

John,

I begin Vegas filming tomorrow and am getting some last minute things wrapped in Utah before leaving.

Also my team did change my schedule so it looks like I'll be in your area sooner than I thought. The reason I had Texas on schedule for July 11 - 30 was because of my family reunion but I have so many great participants in the Midwest I'm staying there longer instead. I begin in Kenosha, WI on June 24th with a junior participant and move to Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago. Want to include St. Louis area on that part of the tour. I'll wait to hear from you. Need to get back to preparations. Thanks! Tor

If you live in any of the areas mentioned above and would like to be considered for the Pool Reality Show please get your applications as soon as possible.

Visit the Zero-X Billiards Face Book page or website.

Have Fun

Just sent some pics in to Tor, of my best friend and I, for our chance at this.

I haven't gotten the phone call yet, but I've received very positive feedback from him about our applications.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

Cool Justin, hope you and your friend do well. Its a brutal 14 day pool boot camp.

Here is another post from the ZeroX Face Book page.

Want to get out of lock up safeties? We want you to as well! Learn this jump shot off the rail to jump over obstructing balls, practice and videotape your result, then post to YouTube and on the Zero-X Billiards wall and we'll share it!

Be sure to tag it with #14Days #TheGreatPoolExperiment to win a prize!

Pool Reality Show - Update

Posted here with permission. Check out the video.

Want to see an update about Las Vegas participants in '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment,' Stephone and Dennis? How about upcoming cities on the one-year long '14 Days' tour?

Without giving away too many "secrets" relating to their great progress, here's a "sneak peek" on both Dennis and Stephone!

We've included at the end, just one video montage of upcoming cities for the '14 Days' tour! This is just one video of six to announce upcoming locations on the '14 Days' tour! These are not in their true order of visit because some of that is a surprise!

One exciting thing to happen on the Midwest portion of our tour is that we'll be surprising one participant who has NO IDEA we're coming to work with him! His league recently won first place in a league tournament and will soon be Vegas-bound to compete!

Shhhhh....it's a surprise for him and his entire league! Hint: Somewhere between Wisconsin and Pennsylvania...

The crews are ready and very excited! '14 Days' participants - here we come! Are you ready?

Have Fun
