How could ANYONE have anything against what Tor is doing here? I mean honestly, a production professional who can play some and who can teach is making some high quality videos helping people to get better and this is a bad thing?

I tell you what. I know Jimmy Reid, I made him a custom case, Diamond Jim hand embroidered on it by me because he didn't like and does not like the name Hippie Jimmy.

I have had all of Jimmy's instructional materials from the No Time For Negative cassette tapes to the dvds. What TOR is doing is NOTHING like Jimmy's stuff. It's pretty much nothing like anyone is doing that I have seen. Of course there is overlap in basic information but the freaking sniping and accusations of plagiarism are ridiculous.

Tor should applauded and celebrated for what he is putting together here. I mean honestly when I look at these videos on YouTube I am very impressed by the professionalism, the quality, the flow and just how slick it all is. To me all instructors every where should welcome someone like Tor who brings professional film skills to the table.

The way I see it it's good for the whole market if more people are inspired to take on this 14 day challenge. I see it being patterned after the insanity type workout videos and to me that's a good thing.

Yeah, I suppose so Bryan. Zero X is filming in the midwest right now.

I really do enjoy the fact that Tor is teaching, at no cost to the student.

The amount of money that this year long venture must cost them has got to be unreal.

They have the resources and the expertize to turn this into on heck of a reality show.

Hang in there man, it will be worth the wait. In the mean time I would be practicing the stroke drills............I am.

'14 Days' Inspiration - (Written on the Facebook wall of Tor Lowry in December, 2012)

"So I've been working on developing my New Year's Resolutions. There's many things I want to accomplish this year, but for a kind stranger who came to me through a private message tonight, I just added one more goal to my already long list. It was a man who told me his 14 year old son is already showing great promise as a pool player and possesses a great deal of potential and determination. I was asked to provide some brief lessons for his son if I was ever near their area. It's far away. Still, it is now part of my mission to add something to that young, promising 14 year-old's arsenal of knowledge. No charge, I'm just going to make it a point before the end of 2013 that I will show up one day for the sole purpose of giving something I've been given to a 14 year old who probably already dreams, like I did, of winning tournaments." #PayItForward #2013 #Pool

Though Tor has provided pool lessons for others, beginning when he was just a teenager, and for several years has wanted to develop a pool-themed production, Travis, a 14 year-old from Wisconsin, was a huge part of what inspired Tor's idea for '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment.' In Tor's words:

"There was just something special about sensing a father's deep pride for his son and strong belief in him, that made me want to show up on that doorstep one day. As my friendship developed with his father, I became more determined to meet young Travis, and now that I have, I really believe in him. He has some natural ability and I hope to be even a small part of helping him achieve his goals. I'll work hard to help Travis be tournament ready, and believe this will be a great lesson for him about, how really wanting something - any dreams coming true, has so much to do with being diligent about practice, and maintaining determination, focus and commitment. I was fortunate to have the support of a parent who believed in me. Travis has that too and that's a great start."

We're all very excited to watch Travis work toward achieving his pool goals and WE WANT YOU TO BE, TOO! We want you to cheer Travis on as he prepares to compete in the BEF Junior Nationals in July! Mostly, we want you to join us and his father in believing in Travis! There's a lot to be said for the power of truly believing in someone - here's our chance to really make a difference in the life of one very special teen in Wisconsin!

Even though he was only here to work with myself and my son he is working with my wife and daughter a bit as well.

SLIDING CUE BALL CHALLENGES? On set and behind the scenes footage with '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' Wisconsin based participants, Jesse Sr., Jesse, Jr., and Travis, a 14 year-old who's preparing to compete In The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) 25th Annual Junior National 9-Ball Championships to be held July 25-28, 2013 at the Convention Center of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Being able to move the cue ball to different parts of the table using only center, center-low and center high is essential to becoming a strong pool player.

We're excited about the progress of all '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' participants and want you to be too! Be sure to cheer them on as each of them continue their challenge to work toward becoming the best they can be at the sport we all love!

We want to add that we believe very much in all of them. It's remarkable to witness what can happen for anybody when they are determined, focused and willing to work hard toward making their dreams come true!
