Breakers is always a great place to have a touney. We are hoping for a good event and it seems like we always have a good showing in Knoxville. Hope to see you there.

You know I will be there. I actually posted this as well not knowing you already had.

I wanted to make sure it got some pub and didn't know if you would have the chance to post it. You can buy me my thank you beer in a couple of weeks. :D I am still hopeful that they may have some new equipment by then, they are trying. If not we will still have a great tournament and have a lot of fun.

I saw where you posted it. I really appreciate it. I actually got this on here before Louisville because I knew I would be busy this month. We had a great time in Louisville hangin out w/ you and pops. SD has some good stories for you- all I have to say is "kool-aid". We'll see you in a few weeks and you know I will get you a beer or 2 or 3 or........:D Take care.

Just wondering what the payout breakdown would be?
In percentages will be fine=) Thanks again=)

Payouts

We always pay 25% of the field. Usually we have good auctions and all the players/room owners are happy with our events. It's not bad for a weekend tourney. Hope you can join us at some of our events.

Congraulations

Moving up to Tournament director
that is a great move and you will do it right.hope to catch up with you in march.

I like the 25-percent payout figure for tournaments.

I have attended some tournaments where the payout is larger, like 40 percent.

Getting a check for a lesser amount than a tournament entry fee may please some tournament goers, but I think the majority would rather have the 25-percent payouts.

Now you MUST get a camera to post up some pictures for us unfortunate ones back home! :D

Hey JAM! I hope you and Keith are doing well. It's been a little while since we have seen you guys. I guess the next tourney that we will catch up with you all will be Valley Forge. I wish you all were closer, we would love to have you at some of our events.
We are trying to do everything right to get the tour off on the right foot. Payouts have always been an issue at tourneys. We aren't out here to rob the tour or poolplayers/room owners. Shannon, being a player himself, is trying to keep pool going here in the south by putting on good events that pay decent. He knows how hard it is to be on the tournament trail and still try to make money. Gambling these days to make a living is virtually impossible. So hopefully we are successful - so far so good. It's fun and we really enjoy it. Plus we get to watch some good pool action! I do have a camera and will be passing on my pics and updates. So look for us in a few weeks.

Tell Keith we said hello and you guys take care.

I'd just like to give this tournament a bump and say what a good job Shannon does as a tournament director. It's great having him around Greenville to promote pool. Being a player and past room owner, he can see both sides of putting on a tournament. He does his best to make things fair for everyone involved. I know that the Great Southern Billiard Tour will be a success.

Shannon says he is adding a 10,000 dollar year end bash! Now if that don't get some cues chalked, i don't know what would!!

That sounds great fellas.Wish I lived down in the dirty south. Both pool and action is on a rise down there, thats great........

A good friend of mine lives down there, Sparky Ferrel......If anyone happens to bump into him please tell him Frankie from New York send the best...

Hey Shannon whats up DADDY:D Great tour......................

It will be 10,000 guaranteed total purse at Diamonds in Chattanooga, TN. Just wanted to clear that up- cdavis it wasn't your fault b/c that's what I said in the pm. Sorry about the mix-up.

Diamond tables

Breakers will be getting 9- 3 1/2 X7 Diamond Smart tables on Wednesday. So our tourney will be played on these tables. Just wanted to post the info. Come and join us for an action-packed weekend.:)

Is anyone on the board planning on coming to the tournament? The last tournament that was held at Breakers had 64 and paid well. If you live within reason you need to make it. There will also be a mini tournament on Friday night as well.

On a side note- I hear there is some guy named Daniel that likes to gamble and can't play a lick. He is just looking for someone to take him off.
