She REALLY plays. She plays in tournaments probably at least 2-3 times a week in the NY area. She is rapidly improving and will likely get in a WPBA event by year end/early next IMHO.

Hey Brian, thanks for the nice words. I agree. Since menopause, I have aged considerably...gained weight, got wrinkles, bags, whatever. But since I am now considered old enough to live in a seniors only community, I don't expect to compete with the new crop of gals in looks OR on the table, but I hold my own, thanks.

I did kind of think I was pretty cute 10 years ago, when I was in my FORTIES!

I understand that you may not know her yet because I don't know of a lot of the women shown on this thread, but that is what the thread is for.

Borana has been playing in some of the toughest tournaments where she is the only women most of the time. She has gotten to the finals a few times and also to third place in one.

When I say tough I mean that there are pros playing and New York has some of the best players who will never see fame. I know because I get knocked out of these tournaments a lot.

I don't think he meant that in a bad way, Jim. I had never heard of her myself until recently. Are there any videos available of her playing? From what I hear, she's one of the nicest girls in pool up there, too.

I had no problem with it. I totally understand because like I said, I haven't seen many of these women before. I was just giving some more information about Borana. She will make her mark in due time and you are right, she is a very nice person. No videos of full matches yet.
