the hustlers

Had the series set to record.
Watched the first 10 minutes segment.
Proceeded to erase it, and erase the series.

Just not for me, growing up in this game and actually hustling pool to pay my bills for 10 years, this show does nothing for me.
The name should be changed for startes, also none of them could hustle a blind man. Most of them can't play dead. That's just my opinion.

But, I'm glad pools on TV and wish the show the best of luck.

We never made money hustling pool together? I don't care about the comments from the people I don't know but the ones from guys I know, respect, and have made good money with are a little upsetting. I've always put my money up or in. Just do me a favor...leave the DVR set and if you get bored watch a little longer. I do respect your opinion on it though and most of these guys can't get a response out of me anymore. You know better though brother.

Good luck with the big tourneys at Big Tymes, we don't have anything like that up north and those days are missed. Later Brent.

I gave it a try just to see how it was, yes...it was painful to watch.
I know the people in the show, there is NO list and even if there was, they would not be in the top 5 of this so-called list

The list is the hook.

I thought it was a great idea. In fact, I think it is THE idea that will keep the show going as folks tune in to see how the list is stacking up.

Also, I laughed my ass off watching it. Not a bad laugh, but good laughs. The production touches are very nice (changing speed of shots during the shot, etc. etc.)

Remember, this is designed for non-players mostly, just like Storage Wars is for non-auction folks. We "real" pool players are probably bored with a lot of it, having been there ourselves and done that.

I give it a thumbs up.

Like every other TV show. Even shows in the top 20 aren't liked or watched by everyone. You have six or more shows from Alaska. People that never been there and never lived in a cold climate tend to eat those shows up. I've been up in AK 3 times back when it was wild as hell once for 15 months. Mark G comes from AK. I'll bet he doesn't enjoy many if any of the made in AK shows. I like shows like the Pickers and Pawn Stars, where you can learn something. Nobody likes every show. Not everyone like every food, car, cue, chalk, tip, LOL. As long as enough people like it, that's all I care about. The show seems to have good sponsors at its start. Johnnyt

I have seen some negative comments but I'm actually liking it lol. Yeah, it isn't really for the hardcore pool crowd but the drama gets people to watch that have never picked up a cue. My girlfriend even got into it and she has never hit a ball.

That being said, I'm sure it was scripted but DeChaine was straight up stealing. :D

Over all I liked the show a lot even though like others I saw a few things that were "off" but so be it. All in all a great effort! Congrats to all the cast and crew for putting out a fun show to watch!:)

The hardcore pool peeps are going to see and get excited about the faults of the show the same way gear heads do over shows like Fast N' Loud, Street Outlaws and other car shows. BUT....the car hobby has gotten a ton of exposure from the shows and that is a great thing IMHO. Same can and hopefully will be said for pool if this show has a long run of success which I hope it will.

About the list: Just because those five are on it now, it doesn't mean that it is fixed for all time. There is potential for it to change over time with people moving up, down or off the list entirely. As the season and seasons(fingers crossed) progress there is potential for more folks to come into the show to challenge the list, move up the list etc. A good hook and plot point to build on if you ask me.

You were not on episode 1.
The ones they showed I was referring to.
Emily, Finny, skateboarder, dechaine, Jarod, just seem to made up.
I can't fade the series. No disrespect, hope it has good #s.

Yes we have made some $ together.
Good Luck in your endeavors Frosty.

Thanks

i think watching this show was more painful then having a tooth pulled. The fact they are going to portray clowery and dechaine as out of town hustlers is hilarious. Dechaine has never hustled a game in his life he only gambles when he's a 95% favorite lol an well don't know what to say about his so called road partner. The show needs people like scooter and his crew to make this or any reality series work. He is a true hustler

Kinda like the list on that Oklahoma street racing show. A ranking system...others playing to get on the list, knock somebody off or down the list, etc.

It's called a "ladder", most tennis clubs I've played at have one. But I've never seen a "tennis Godfather". :shakehead::thud::shrug:

Finally a reality series I can stand

Of course there's some exaggeration, it's reality T.V. but I watched both episodes & loved it. People who don't know a whole lot about pool or pool players aren't going to notice the stuff that we do. I hope it does great & wish everyone in the cast good luck!

That may be the biggest problem, people who don't know this show is bullsh!t.
I hope they don't get the idea that is how pool players should act, sharking and yelling at each other acting the fool.

Lets just hope if anyone ever does watch this train wreck, they don't go to their local pool room and try to emulate it. We all remember those guys twirling their cues after seeing the COM.

Let them, maybe then I will find someone I can beat in cash games. :)

Mikey, if you see this, did Predator throw some money into the show? Seen some patches and what not and just want an idea of what industry folks are throwing money into it because I seen not many are helping.
