A tour( who will remain nameless) has a rule......... Win one of our events twice or finish in the the top 4 3 times and you will no longer be allowed to play in our events. No problem. However, as soon as the Tour director (who plays in the events also) is reaching the limit, the rules magically get restructured! . So now you can win many events before being banned. HYPOCRITICAL BULLSHIT

Not a tour that he plays on, just wanting people to know(I haven't ever hit a ball on this tour, but know who it is, I think). Local to Brian, am I right?

I haven't played on this tour myself just thought it to be funny how that stuff works.

Me and Nasty talked about this tour/operator this weekend, and I was pretty sure he wouldn't let you play, lol

Oh no, it had nothing to do with that tourney. I don't expect to play in them. I'm just tired of tour directors being able to do whatever they want. I liked it better when the poolrooms had their own tourneys so tour directors wouldnt be raping the pot.

What tour is this?

No you misunderstand- we were not talking about the tourney we were at, but he told me about the dealings of a certain individual that are basically designed to keep himself in the cash. But regardless, it would be nice to have a lil more stew in the pot. You comin down for the tourney this weekend?

Phew, for a minute there I almost thought you were starting BS about me or the Viking AMATEUR Tour.

But it's not me. From December 16th 2007

The Viking Tour would congratulates Mike Janis in his first Viking Tour win, after over five hundred attempts. Unfortunately for Mike, this win also disqualifies him from competing in any more amateur events for the rest of the season as per the tour rules. The rule states that any player that places in the top four of the amateur division field three times or wins two events will have to sit out for the rest of the season and re-apply in the next season for amateur status. Janis previously placed in the top four places two other times this season with two second place finishes.

I was way past the limit over 1/2 a year ago and we only changed our rules to meet the demand according to the extra nember of amateur events we are having. We changed our rules on July 7th which is why I also thought you might be thinking of me. See our new structure here: http://vikingcue.com/pages/9ball/amatureeligibility.html

So Brian please let the cat out of the bag and tell us who and which tour you are talking about.

It's only fair since you started this thread to stop any speculations on a good tour. It's also fair to your friends on AZ to let us know who the bad guys are.

Brian, see you this weekend. Don't worry Mike, nobody thinks you beat anything other than machine jackpots:grin: . Although I'm pretty sure which tour he is talking about, I don't feel it's my place to say which one it is, especially since I am only 90% sure which one it is, but it is most assuredly NOT the viking tour.

I was thinking he was talking about the Viking tour also. Now I am really curious!

At least a few of us, figured it was someone other than the Viking Tour. But it does open a pretty wide door for who it may be. I don't know anyone who has posted on this thread so far, or have a clue where the originator is from.

I'm pretty sure he was aiming it at Mike but we'll see, I would be very surprised if he actually came out and said it though. Let's hope he sheds some light on this now that he has started the ball rolling.

There are three or four tours at least where the TD wins or comes in the top four every tournament, but I don't think any of them have those rules against it. Johnnyt

When I read post #1 and post #11 I think they are speaking of the same situation, but from different perspectives, could be wrong and probably am.

Edited:

Southpaw says he sure its not so I'll save my opinion....helluva coincidance though....
