The infamous ta-da follow through

I was watching the most boring match on youtube (or so I thought). When low and behold Marty Herman unleashed a secret technique known previously only to the Pinoys. That's when I realized that he was stalling more than Rosanne Bar's husband on their honeymoon. After the match Bobby Cotton replied "I thought that the TA-DA was just a myth, It was the most beautiful and gracious move in all of pocket billiards"

If the link doesn't take you directly to the shot, then fast forward to the 9:28 spot in the video.

stalling more than Rosanne Bar's husband on their honeymoon. That's some funny s%#@ right there!!!

and then there's the little gracious bow he makes on the 6, like "and thank YOU, kind sir, for not running into the 7 or scratching in the side. I appreciate everything you do, cue ball."

The TA-DA is slowly sweeping the nation. Here are two students practicing the once secret technique...hence the surprised looks on their faces when I snapped the photos.

HAhahaha, I didnt catch that because I was to busy rewinding , watching and laughing at the Ta-DA move.

Two questions that deserve an answer since I wasted 10 minutes watching that.
1) Was this a league match?
2) Why are the pockets so big?

There is also 1 more question that I have to ask. The link takes you to the 9:28 mark. Why did you watch the whole 10 minutes? lol.

But to answer your questions, this is a match between 2 pros I think. And the pockets are that size because that's what they played on back in the day.

At least he's not dangerous.

I play with a guy who uses enormous amounts of body english. If you're standing behind him on his left side you're likely to lose an eye.

It doesn't on my iPhone, it takes me to the beginning. I was kinda scratching my head, trying to look for this wonderful Filipino technique. Never even made it to the end, but now I get it.

It was like a train wreck I couldn't look away.

I think it's important to note that the ta da follow through should be saved only for shots where the object ball is in the jaws of the pocket like this fine gentleman did.

At around 8:55 he does a very calculated blind follow through kick. I was taught this kick for opponents that hover too close to the table.

This seemingly innocent follow through kick lands a square shot to the groin of your opponent or wait staff.

The kick is a very advanced technique, I can't believe you just blabbed it publicly for free.
When I'm hiding my speed, I don't use the kick ever. Instead I do the kidney punch backswing with my cue. This always fixes slow rackers on a neighboring table.
