The Irishman movie

Scorsese seems kind of all over the place lately at times it seemed very color by numbers crime mafioso type film and pretty flat. Its watchable and doesn't feel like three hours wasted but It's no goodfellas.

Personally I really enjoyed Scorsese's recent "Rolling Thunder Revue" but that's pretty heavily influence by my obsession with anything Bob Dylan.

flix was jus aw right for me

PESCI'S performance was tons the nuts

PACINO can still bring it

Sweatin DiNiro was like gettin a root canal without novacain

Period correct cars, clothing were cool which elevates it a 3 on a scale to 5 for me

Well, on another note, I watched "Green Book," which is not a Scorsese film, but it was great. I loved it.

Well....

If any one wants a true picture of Scorese and De Niro watch the 1991 awards when they presented the director Elia Kazan with a Life Time Achievement Award. The same guy that testified before the House on Un American Activities in 1952 during the McCarthy era.

He testified against other Hollywood actors, producers and directors and helped get them black balled. Ridding him self of some competition. Insinuating they were communists with no real proof. Ed Harris and others who were present refused to stand when they gave him the award.

He hugged Martin and called De Niro Bobby and kissed him. Makes me wanna puke.

Just saying...

My wife and I tried to watch it about a week ago. About an hour into this film we looked at each other and turned it off. It just didn't grab us at all.
Plus, it's based on real life events that we already know the outcome. Just not my type of movie.
