The Justis "Serengeti Collection"

They are all beautiful, but I love the alligator and ostrich.

up until now, i have been too lazy to take and post photos of my justis cases all together, for some reason i felt inspired today. The clock was a gift from jack at derby city and started the name the "serengeti collection"
enjoy!

wow doug awesome collection of cases.i didnt realize you made a collection congrats.i dont think it could be topped.simply awesome.

Ah....a Retic. Didn't even think of it. Maybe seeing some irridescence on the skin would have helped me out....or maybe not.

Thanks for the intel...snake nerd!! ;)
some retics lack that blue and red irridescences and have more a silver color..diffrent local in maylasia...i had one that was really silver, super cool looking but just as nasty as all get up...the perfect snake for a case would be a brazilan rainbow boa..but unfortunaly for us and not for the snake they dont get much bigger than 5 foot...also mandarin rat snake would be really cool but to small also...

Thanks Guys for all the compliments, it has been a pleasure working with Jack and I have made a great friend along the way. I don't know what the Python is for sure, but it is huge and I like it because it is back cut instead of belly cut like most. I think it will make a fantastic case because I can run the belly scales down the center of the front and have a tooled rear panel. Ron is working on a tooled snake design for it right now. Thanks again, and thanks to Jack and Mr. Ron Ross for his fantastic work and cooperation.

I'm starting to like you, sir (relax...not in THAT way!! :D )

I owned a Burm, an African Rock, two TRUE redtails, and one Emerald Tree...long before I got married and had kids. I had a shot at a Retic, but it had bad mite problems, and I didn't want to take the added risks/costs.

Much like your Retic, my African Rock was REAL good in the tank...not so much anywhere else.

To avoid hijacking the hell out of Doug's thread...I'll tie it all in.

That Retic skin is gonna look REAL nice on a case, sir. I'll stay tuned to see how it pans out!

Doug, I am so afraid of snakes that just seeing that skin almost killed me, I was so petrified....LOL

Great collection of incredible cases. The pool came out great

Doug, is that your new pool???

I like the Giraffe the best. I have a gun case made from a giraffe neck I hunted years ago. Its hard to get good giraff hides where the color pattern works in small places like cues cases. Where I hunt were only allowed to hunt old bulls and some are almost hairless(it rubs off when they are old). Jack has a good source, even the zebra he used on your cases is top grade stuff. I have hunted for years and have a very close friend in the safari biz, so I know that biz and related things like we here know about pool, cues etc. And with out a doubt Jack has used the cream of the crop in hides on these cases. Its all leagal too the hides are imported on CITIES permits, I have about 12 zebra hides and enough elephant skin to cover a house(litterly).

congrats and thanks for the pics.

And to Jack, great work as usual, your amazing!!

Justis cases

Doug, the olny thing I can think of that come close to these cases, is a wet dream.

Beautiful cases Doug, that's one serious collection! While the full tooled & giraffe are my favorites, I'm very intrigued by the 1x2. Never seen one of those, very cool!

The full tooled and giraffe are also my favorites, I knew great minds think alike. I picked the 1x2 up on here about 2 minutes after it was posted, it's a very cool old tube case.

Thanks,

Doug

OH MY GOD THE ONLY WORD THAT EVEN COME TO MIND IS UNFORGETABLE thx alot for sharing an amazing collection if you ever decide to sell any please pm me first thx again for the pics and the ideas for my second justis.

Serengeti collection

The giraffe is my favorite of the collection.

Very unique and nice pattern.

With the snake skin, will there be any special treatment to keep the scales from lifting up and comming off?
