The Kid Delicious book is off the hook

I heard this one story of him, where he was in St Louis, and the railbirds liquored and drugged him all up (with his more than willing consent I might add). When they finally had him what they thought was fully jarred and on max tilt, then they got him to the pool table in an ahead session. It was over in less than an hr and he never missed a ball.

No, looks like somebody told you the story wrong...it's in the book, and in the book Danny says that they got him good with the drugging and he was too out of it to shoot after that, and so he lost the session.

Great book. Very entertaining and insightful as to what goes on (or at least went on) with players on the road.

I agree with The Preacher, too. Until that day comes, I'm enjoying making a living on my butt!!!

Outstanding pool book. Right up there with playing off the rail, if not better.
I got it in the mail a couple days ago and I haven't been able to put it down.
I highly, highly recommend it!!

Hi Joe,
How's everything going?
Don't know if you remember me?
My name is Ken Kerner from Nanuet, NY.. I used to go to Executive Billiards in White Plains and gamble with Johnnny B.. Last time we played you backed him against me.. You were also thinking about buying my Szamboti from me back then.. I remember on the weekends you used to run out of the poolroom and do your stand up locally.. Johnnny B. came over to Nanuet and played me many times.. It is a shame, I know you were friends..
Best,
Ken

Hey Ken, I remember you.
Those were some great games to sweat between you and Johnny.
I hope you're well,

I work in publishing and have soe friends at Houghton Miffling (the company that published this book. As a result, I got to read the book about 6-8 months ago before it was published!

I LOVED it! A great read for anyone interested in pool.

I hate to admit it, and I certainly don't mean to insult anyone, but I don't know who Joe Rogan is. HELP :)

lol... I didn't know either.

He was the host of the TV show "Fear Factor," which I have seen so I knew who he was once I learned that--and I guess he also is involved in some sort of fighting (ultimate fighting?) that is popular.

And I believe it was his visit to the Quad Cities (Jesse & friends), not to St Louis.

Kid D Book...

Barnes and Noble called me two weeks ago
when the book got in---read it over the weekend.
What a great movie it will make--with the right
screenplay.
Lent the book to my buddy Ronnie (new Diviney Sneaky cue
owner) and he also devoured the book over a weekend!
p.s. My new Predator Willie Hoppe Rocks!
