After seeing my old friend Tom Tom ,, advertising his new book it's dawned on me that one pocket which I believe is gaining in popularity especially among the baby boomers
who like myself are finding more enjoyment in the game but find little info here about the game
There's a snooker a 14-1 and even a Carom category , I would say there's more one pocket player than all those combined who visit AZ

I think it's long past due ,, ,,,,

It has been said before that out respect for Onepocket.org, I believe AZ is against the idea of creating a sub-forum about one pocket.

Dont wanna undercut the traffic on the sister website.

I didn't know that's there sister site ,if that's the case they should close it and bring them to this site which is far better all the way around

Maybe I should have put 'sister' like this.

I dont think its ran by the same people.

I think Steve Booth runs that site.

I don't believe there is an actual business connection between the 2 sites, but there is mutual respect for each other's territory and many past discussions about creating a 1p section here have indicates Mike in not interested in picking at Steve's house.

As I learned from my prior employer: stay in your lane.

They aren't a sister site per se', but rather a peer or colleague site.

OnePocket.Org is the premier one pocket site. And Onepocket.org is the holder of the One Pocket Hall of Fame, the current understood rule set, and has the absolute most knowledge of One Pocket collected on one page.

There's absolutely no reason to have them shut down.

I kinda like it separate.

Onepocket.org is strictly and exclusively for the purists and the enthusiasts.

Better yet, why don't you make a post on one pocket . org and see how the members feel? You'll get some interesting feedback. Then, let us know how that goes. There was another thread about this exact subject....do a search.

as you said in the part i bolded above
onepocket.org is where most 1p players go .
the wealth of knowledge/experience shared is amazing
having 2 forums would be double work for some
ie duplicate threads etc
im in favor of keeping things as they are
for those interested in one pocket
i say
"come on over"......onepocket.org...........

I think it would also create ALLOT of arguments and conflict, and the difference of knowledge, is like checker players telling chess players they made the wrong move....that's how I see it.

I agree. I enjoy 1P.org for being what it is. It's all about the game. The people there are informative and sharing. Anyone that wants to learn or participate is welcome. I'm an beginner. I never felt uncomfortable asking a question or posting a reply. For the past year it is the only game I enjoy playing. Complicated and challenging.....a never ending learning experience. I like 1P.org on it's own channel.

I agree that Onepocket.org is specifically devoted to One Pocket where this site covers all cue sports. It is fine for us to make periodic posts about One Pocket here but I agree that to set up a separate forum for this game is unnecessary and could be considered by some as stepping on the toes of OP.org.

We at AZB have many members who are also members of OP.org and they frequently share information between the two sites. I find it an easy task to shift between the two sites without any difficulty. Don't you?
