The little boy that cried wolf!

txplshrk...Huh? Hmmm...the dvd's were two hours long...and there were two of them (one he got for FREE). Do you think the poster you're talking about ever watches a movie? Not many movies are less than two hours long. Even if you could not 'absorb' two hours worth of information at a time (and that's a distinct possibility with most anyone), you could CHOOSE to watch 30 minutes at a time, and practice what you saw in that 1/2 hour. Like many others have posted, I believe this person is just looking for the 'magic bullet'...and it just doesn't exist. The best instructor/pro player on the planet can't help you, if you won't help yourself! Nuff said...

Let me tell you what! If you give me two DVD's and one is free then I am going to go over them and analyze them until I can't analyze them anymore.

I would even make a copy so in case the copy you gave me got messed up I would still have all the information.

I would even watch them about once amonth just to review and make sure I took good information from them.

I like what you said about movies, hell some people sit in 3 hour movies! So why couldn't you watch 30 minutes of DVD analyze it, and work on it?

Seems to me like he wants the magic pill to solve all his problems.

I guess he better sell his soul to the devil! LOL

I wonder why the moderators don't say anything to him... He doesn't need to quit posting, but just post those stupid questions once a month or so.... Or keep them all in one thread...

Ah, whatever, he's been on my ignorelist since yesterday, and I like it :D

EDIT: He has created more than 550 threads during his time on AZB, of his 1500 posts, most of them "bad rolls"-threads. that's about 5 times as much threads started as other posters here...

ARE YOU SERIOUS? 550 threads and most of them about his bad rolls?

OH MY GOD!!! If I complained about all my bad rolls then I would have quit pool along time ago!

You know what I figured out though? Most of my bad rolls were my fault for not playing proper possition! LOL

The real question is does Tom Rossman know he has a protege?

Very doubtful because when I read Tom Rossman's teachings to his Protege I knew that anyone that actually listed to Tom Rossman wouldn't be moaning and complaining about getting bad rolls every day! LOL

yeah, I've been patiently answering the threads and even doing up diagrams, but I don't think he's ever acknowledged the replies or thanked me.

I truly believe he has a passive-aggressive personality disorder. In a nutshell, people who have this are constantly bemoaning their fate, complaining that the world or the system or the universe has it in for them, and they won't take responsibility for the negative things in their life.

I'm not at the point where I want to ignore him, but I'm probably not going to any great lengths to help him...

Could we just give him his own forum section? Maybe call it 'For the self-serving attention whores'.

Toooooooo FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A thread is a thread!

There is a poster who never takes advice and does accept free DVD's and starts threads about cars  but I don't think he deserves to be ignored or banned. He's just making conversation and through that we all engage in healthy advice.

The poster in question may not be learning, but others are learning. :o

:)

I think txplshrk is expressing a feeling that a lot of us have from time to time when reading the threads in question. I for one hate to see good folks get used, and that's what it always seems like is happening. So long as people know what they are getting into with that guy, then maybe they won't be discouraged when their advice obviously falls on deaf ears.

Oh and thanks for the rep txplshrk, I'm closing in on that illusive first bright green dot I've sought after!

You are welcome sir!

I just wanted to see how many other people felt the way I fell about that guy.

Everyone has freedom of speech and I for one hope they don't ban him or anything like that.

I just felt that it is useless to try and help him anymore because he doesn't listen.

So I was just expressing my freedom of speech rights! LOL

I thought I'd take a foray into corvette-style spoofing... :D :D :D

It could be caused by Asperger' syndrome:
-Excessive addiction to the internet
-Trying to find out everything about a topic by constantly researching it
-Failure to find a coping strategy for underlying mental health issues
-Social anxiety disorder

Nah, on second thought, that is all of us:D

Add

I think it is ADD mixed with bi-polar!

Actually I am intersted to find out what Russ finds out about his other post.

I guess we will see the answer in a couple days.

Elvicash or whatever you name is I hope you can beat him with all the bad rolls he is going to leave you! LOL

How long do we listen to someone rant and rave in here before we totally ignore them? What I mean is how long do we listen to someone that won't take advice? I mean he even said he won't take advice unless it is from a pro or an instructor, but even then he doesn't take advice.

You know, looking at the bright side of this, his problems has brought a lot of the others on this forum together. After you take out all the chastizing of the individual in the thread, there is actually some pretty good information to be learned from people solving his problems.

Could be a blessing in disguise?

No, just a blessing. I've learned some interesting things in a few DCP threads, while some are a waste of time, and others get stupid ... kinda like the rest of the forum and us members :p

Dave, similarities on top of similarities

I really don't read many of his posts for that simple reason. I doubt I will be reading any more in 3 months. LOL:D
