When he plays at his best, his tremendous cue power and accuracy makes Strickland look like a slow-roller. But too bad this guy's a cheat--who knows how many major titles he would've had by now?

IMO the best cue action in all of pro snooker. Too bad he cheated. I don't think I've ever watched someones cue action as closely as this mans, trying to copy it, working out his secrets. Truth is, I can't do it, nor can anybody else, as far as I know. He has talent in spades.
He'll be 50 when the ban expires. While someone who took care of himself may come back and maybe spring a few upsets now and then at such an advanced age (for snooker), he's let himself go to a point where I doubt he'll even be alive when the time comes, much less be in good health. And there is always the chance that his eyes may give out, which is more about luck than anything else. I have no respect for cheaters, but if he did his time and came back, even to the point of maybe scoring some points in the ranking tournaments he'd win a lot of his lost respect back, from me at least.

I don't think he'd be playing 9-ball pool (or any other pool games for that matter) in the foreseeable future, at least not professionally. If he starts focusing on pool, he'd most likely lose his hard-earned snooker fundamentals. Steve Davis once pointed out that ever since he started playing tournament pool, his head began to move while he's down on the shot. So if anything, I'd rather see Stephen focus on further popularizing snooker in Asia--shifting to the dying game of American pool would be a detriment to his cue action and overall game. Besides, he'd need years of pool matchplay to be able to become a world beater.

Not only that but his cuing is not always in a straight line.

Ronnie is a very rhythmic player. In some ways, you can think of his cue action as a beautifully-refined version of the Filipino stroke, and therefore allows him to strike the white with great timing. That's why apart from his stance and pre-shot routine, if you've seen him play for the first time, you'd probably think he's some savant pool player trying his hand on a snooker table. Nothing to do with pivoting and BHE and all that crap, haha.
