I think what Black Balled has been trying to get across in his inimitable way, is that a poll like this doesn't seem to accomplish much, if anything, for a variety of reasons.

So that we're on the same page, it appears the op is trying to establish what cue is "The Monster Player".

Here are a few of those reasons which cause polls like this to be unable to achieve their goal:

Affordability/Exposure: There are a lot of us who have not owned or never even hit a ball with a Szam, a Tasc, a Boar, a Bushka or many of the other cues listed on this poll. So how can we place real value on the voting results?

Subjectivity: Your monster isn't Joe's monster isn't Frank's monster isn't my monster. While it may be possible to pick up on a trend, only you know what is your monster.

Another problem that further dilutes the results is that the "other" category takes on a life of its own when so many people feel their choice for "Monster" isn't listed in a category of its own.

What we're left with then is a poll whose intention may have been good but due to there being so many variables (and pitfalls), it has no chance of determining which is "The Monster Player Cue".

Doing a search here for "best hitting cue" would likely return similar results.

Best,
Brian kc

Without question I would say Alex Brick
builds the best-hitting Cues.
As for Monster Players, I have no experience
playing any Monsters, but have certainly played
My share of A**holes !!!

How any Cue can be a "Monster Player" or
"hits a ton" is beyond my scope of comprehension.

That's good question!!

I haven't held, much less played with most of the high end cues listed, but overall I would say that a Schuler cue with the right shaft on it plays as well as any cue I've tried.

Best Cue

I have been playing with a Kersenbrock - Purple Heart - since '77
(Dave made it for me) ..
SW since '91 - black ebony with birdseye grip -
(Jerry made it for me)...

Tad > '70 (my first custom cue) Had to sell for college fees '75

Still have the Kersenbrock and the SW !

My current "goof around" cue is a Jacoby.
They all play real solid!

monster player

i did not see richard harris bluegrass he belongs inbetween southwest n kersenbrock hands sown hell his sneaky petes play better than some extravagant cues by othrs ofcourse im not slammin other cuemakers its just my opinion!!!

That B. Szam. and Tad cues are no good?

J.L....70+ posts, surely you must have some thoughts on the input, as relating to your poll?

Grace us, please.

Poll closes next year, oh the drama and suspense
