I am installing the seller store and feedback modifications today.

Mike

Looks real good..

If you don't mind, can you send me something or set it up and let me go through a trial posting?

These are the information that I would like to have on my listing:

Year: 2006
Maker/Model: (Drop Down Lists for production cue) Miranda Custom Cues
Cue Weight: 15.5 oz (Butt, shaft1, shaft 2, etc)
Shafts Description: 4.0 oz with Molavia Medium, 3.6 oz with factory Tip
Length: 58.25"
Wrap: Warpless with Amboyna Burl handle
Joint Collar: Ivory
Joint Pin: 3/8 x 11" (South West Pin)
Joint Protector: Yes (Amboyna and Ivory)
Forearm Description: Amboyna Burl, 3 long Ivory points with maple
Butt Sleeve Description: Amboyna Burl, 3 long Ivory points with maple
Others: (Butt Taper...etc)

Features Request:

1) Buy It Now Price Function will be a good feature on the online Ad system. Allow the individual to pick up a deal quickly. (Impulse buying)

2) End Users Interface: (Buyer and Seller)

It's important to note that we should have a module for trader...since a buyer and a seller can be trader. The trade section should also be added as a category. The trading module should also consider partial trade deal where cash may be involved.

The end users Interface should allow an individual to see listing of trade and for sell listings that they posted to monitor activity (Like ebay) and purchase history. (Feedback module is very important! but need to have a dispute forum of some source...there are just some people that are hard to please out there).

The process flow for each end users should also be considered including workflow for non-member. If someone is not an azbilliard member but like what they see as a guest, what would be the process for them to purchase the cue? --Do they need to go throught AZ by signing up or will the seller make arrangement outside AZ if they buyer send an email to them directly etc!!!

Different Pricing structure such as Lot Item, Reserve Price, Even strategies such as the Lowering price cues will all be good features that will help sellers sell more cues.

Hopes some of these ideas make sense to all of you guys. I like all the comments by other seller thus far but it's also important to keep the system process as simple stupid as possible for those non tech savy end users.

These are just some of my initial thoughts...I will provide more feedback when I get a chance to analyze your initial data and process flow.

Regards,
Duc.

I think the system is ready for some of you to put test items up. You should be able to log in with your forum username and password.

Choose whatever upsell options you want and use the coupon code "new" in order to place the ad for free. (I only setup the coupon code with 25 uses so let me know if it says the coupon code is not valid)

ok.. i tried adding a cue , got all the way to where you upload the pictures and once it finished.. it went to a blank screen..

chris

I put a cue in and it seems simple enough.

How would I modify it?

Ok.. the login screen needs to be more accessible

Mike,
The primary screen after the login allows me to edit listings. But once that screen is gone, I couldn't get it back without logging out and back in.

if somebody else could please add a listing.. i would like to see what it looks like with more then one.. i would but i am at work right now and dont have access to any pics and stuff.. thanx..chris

Nice job so far. Is there going to be a duration for the listing. Or add is up till it sells? A buy it now function is a great idea exspecially during the holiday season for impulse buys. Still no mention of fees. Is there going to be a fee structure? A column for shipping prices needs to be there.

When you log back into your account you can delete your listing or modify your listing. Mike you are keeping it simple and that is good.

i don't think that our information as far as street address and phone number should public. They should have to email for that. Protection for the seller.

I keep forgetting that this is an ads classified and not an auction. However, the buy it now idea or (a button that allow someone to secure the deal first by emailing the lister that they agree to buy the item per the listing amount would be a good replacement).

Again, there has to be a trader section and module to accommodate for trading transaction. Lots of swapping on Az!

Mike also, you should check out the PHP Auction codes use by cueauctions.com... it's simple to implement and I think it better than the Ads classified system you are setting up. I think the cost to implement an auction site to AZ would be less than $200.00 and there are free PHP auction program out there I think by now. My friend is using one at www.buysellcommunity.com. It work pretty good for them and they are racking in about $2500 from Google Ads sense alone.

Check it out.

Duc.

As far as fee goes, Free listing and small final value fee if the item sell may be a good idea. Cueauction was charging and it was never successfully because they didn't have the traffic. Azbilliard has the traffic, but I don't know if the traffic will be at the auction? How's the traffic to rest of your site?

Regards,
Duc.

i just hope being seperate from the forum doesnt hurt the traffic.. one of the reasons why i like the using the forum is because there is lots involved to it.. like the conversation, easy reading and its quick to go through it, and being able to go from forum to forum and see when you have a private message helps because its always at the top of the screen.. i am not sure about getting emails sent when somebody has a question.. everything looks great so far and different all at the same time.. i just hope it all works out..

chris

i think it would be nice to offer a flat monthly fee to list however much a seller wants... it wouldnt be usefull to most, but for some of you who make a good side, or main business out of this i can see wanting to pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited listing, rather than charging per item.

I have added another menu entry for logged in users that takes you back to your profile page. This will do away with the need to re-login to get to that page.
