Shaw has been soft breaking but not warning. Watch his 2 golden breaks a ball or two gets past the head string and that's it

If we think the MR pool sites blow (which I partially agree with), their snooker site takes the cake. When MR started their 9 ball tour a couple years ago I was excited and went to their snooker page to see what I could expect. Holy molly it was nothing but ads, and so poorly laid out it was as if a 4th grader did it. I haven’t gone back to it since to see if it’s any better.

Like everyone else they rely on social media to interact with the public. Even their social media interaction isn't great, unfortunately. The volume level on the commentary is terrible on the DAZN stream, which is typical of how they don't seem to actually run events very well. Can't ever find reliable schedules in advance, scoring requires registration, etc...

But, still better than the competition.

Final score: Asia, 3-2. Lots of high drama.

Match 1: Team Europe beats Team Asia 5-4, coming back from a 4-0 deficit.

Asia came out flying. Biado, Yapp, Chua and Huong all won their first games to go up 4-0.

Krause pocketed the 9 on a tough carom shot to get Europe on the board, 4-1.

Biado missed a 3 ball he should have made and coughed up the second game. Had he made the 3, the runout was clear. It was a bad miss.

Huong had a chance to win it at hill-hill, but he hung a makeable 7 to the top right pocket.

Match 2: Yapp and Ko beat FSR and Alcaide, 5-2. Just some good old fashioned runouts and pattern play.

Match 3: Huong beats Kaci in singles, 5-3. Huong went up 3-0, I think, and then Kaci made a few incredible kicks to get back in the match. Huong stayed calm and finished it out.

Match 4: Krause and Shaw beat Biado and Chua 5-3, coming back from 3-0 down. The Pinoys got off to a fast start, but Chua misplaced a safety in game 4, probably by overthinking after talking with Biado. Then Krause and Shaw barely gave them a chance at the table.

Match 5: Yapp beats Shaw, 5-4. Yapp fell behind early and looked nervous, but Shaw made a few mistakes and let him back in. Key shot was a Shaw missed on a 7-9 carom that got hung in the pocket.

If Shaw hits that, he likely would have won and put Team Europe up 3-2 for the night.

Curious about tomorrow's line up.

It'll start with another team event, then singles - doubles - singles - doubles

I know some people call Mosconi and now the Reyes exhibitions, but I find both events to be the most entertaining and nerve biting in pool. The players definitely feel it, and the fans too. Only the Hanoi Open is on a similar level because of the fans.

Speaking of the fans, I was surprised by how relatively few there were. I'd guess 300 to 500 during the first match. Not bad, and they were plenty boisterous as the night went on, but a little bit disappointing.

The event came together late, I get it, but MR has some work to do.

The Reyes also started too late and finished too late - like 2 in the morning or something like that. Granted, the intro and team match took a lot of time, but that's just too late.
