The Rolling Stones and Snooker

Keith Richards is especially keen on his snooker I've been told.

When they were coming to Shanghai a couple of years ago my friend was asked to arrange the snooker table for backstage. Unfortunately the tour was cancelled

I know Ron Wood and Keith Richards are both big
fans, I'm not sure about the rest of the band. In
Jimmy White's autobiography he mentions that he's
friends with Ron Wood and that he and Alex Higgins
used to go to either Wood's or Richard's home and
play snooker with them.
Also I believe Ronnie O'Sullivan is a friend or
aquaintance of Wood.

Several years ago The Stones stopped here in Memphis and my friend lent his snooker table for them, and when they were done they were supposed to autograph the cloth, but when he got the table back no cloth or autographs but the table was fine.

> Back in the early days of P&B magazine, there was a short article about David Howard doing an exhibition backstage for them. It had a pic of him with the band,he was holding up his Meucci,as he was under contract with them. Tommy D.

Mike Massey - The Stones & Snooker

Was playing with Mike Massey - his cell phone rang - he talked for awhile, got off and told me that it was Ron Wood (guitarist) and he was confirming that Mike was going to meet them in Tokyo and that they had arranged for a snooker table to be backstage (or in their hotel room - I forgot). :)
