The Second Envelope Case by My Friend the Leather Worker!!!

still surprised how popular super fancy cases have become in the last couple years!
think of the styles, i like the envelope type the best!
have no idea what these things cost . .
would be afraid to take it anywhere though . . . .
you guys must have a lot nicer pool halls than we have in b'ham! :)
. . . or just play at buddies houses!?
have tons of cases, but none near that nice!

very nice looking case steve!

Thanks Jeff!

We wear suits and ties at my poolhall. I always wore a tuxedo until my polo ponies ate it ;). Right! If you can believe it, I occasionally play at a place where Mike Tyson got robbed in the parking lot...

I think these envelope cases start looking better when they're used. I know a lot of folks just keep them at home in a collection, but they are actually great to carry, as long as you keep an eye on them.

Envelopes can vary from $400 on up in price, with most of the fancy ones going from $1,200 up and leveling out around $2,000 depending on the amount of work involved and the casemaker's reputation and workmanship. If you found a Chas Clements, or were talking extremely fancy from another maker, you'd be looking well over that, I'm sure. I'm hoping to have this guy do a couple of really fancy ones once he's got his feet wet with cue cases. In the meantime, we have started out with prices that are extremely reasonable in order to get a few out in people's hands.

Take care,

Steve

Without a doubt that is the most well engineered "envelope" style case I have ever seen.

Props to your friend. Amazing what a leather worker can accomplish when he sets his mind to making a cue case.

Your case is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely one of my favorite 1x2's of alltime!!

Take care,

I just wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to look at this thread! I certainly appreciate the comments and the PM's requesting to be added to "the list". I hope we can get one in the hands of those who want one. They are really works of art!

I talked with the maker yesterday, and we worked out a deal where I will buy the cases directly for resale. The main reason for this is that I had a few nice trade offers or partial cash and trade deals for cues, other cases, etc. The maker has no need for them, but I do, and I think this might allow more AZBrs a chance to obtain one.

Until the next case showing, best wishes from myself and The Grumpy Old Cowboy, and be sure you brush your teeth everday and take your vitamins!

Happy trails to you...

Steve

yup

Very, very nice! It amazes me how all of the sudden the case market has just exploded.

Doug

last year seemed to be The Year Of The Case, and this year it looks to continue. More case makers, SUPER work from a number of them.

I do not understand you abbreviations, so talk splinglist please.

Yes Poolsleuth/Bruce/CocoboloCowboy,

POC is a very rare abbreviation that not many know about but I'll fill you in on my secret code.

It means, Point-Of-Contact.

You want to purchase/order a case you go through Hunter, per his post.

Now, lets get back to enjoying the beautiful photos of this magnificent case and quit clogging up the airwaves with, well...the world according to PoolSleuth.
